ZIMBABWE NATIONAL DAY OF THE YOUTH (GUIDELINES)

BULAWAYO

Friday 19th AUGUST – Sunday 21st AUGUST 2022

Background
The Zimbabwe Day of the Youth shall take place in Bulawayo from Friday 19th – 21st of August 2022. The
proposed activities are as per inaugural meeting held by the Apostle D.S. Mulemba. The highlight of the
National Youth Day weekend shall be a Divine Service on Sunday the 21st.

Youths are expected to arrive in Bulawayo on Friday after lunch the 19th of August 2022.

Key Result Areas

1. To ensure that the programme is driven by Ministers, especially the District Rectors.

2. Need for accurate information on the Youth Compliment in all Elder Districts. This is very critical
for planning purposes. Registers to be availed to the hosts.

3. To ensure that all the Youth Structures are in place in all Districts.

4. District Rectors to be the custodians of communication between the Coordinator

(DR Z.N.Masialeti – 0776 173 557 assisted by DR Mpumelelo Dube 0773210138) and the
various areas.

5. At this stage, Founders High School is the proposed venue for the programme.

6. Registration Fees are $8.00 (Eight Dollars) per Youth. This amount is going towards
accommodation bookings at the school and local Transport to Hillside Dams. Accommodation
will be provided in the class rooms. Youths will be expected to bring through their own bedding.
However, ALL Bulawayo Youths shall pay $25.00 (Twenty Five Dollars) each as Registration
Fees. These Registration fees EXCLUDE the “T” Shirts & Caps. The ‘T’ Shirt issue has not been
finalized yet, but will be ready in the new week.

7. District Rector Area Financial Contributions towards the programme are as follows:

 Victoria Falls $270.00

 Hwange District $270.00

 Bulawayo Combined Districts $540.00

  Harare Combined Rector Districts $540.00

 Karoi $270.00

 Kwekwe $270.00

 Manicaland $270.00

The above mentioned amounts shall cater for meals and other programme related costs.

Please note that all Registration Fees should be paid by the 24 th of July 2022. This will assist in
securing accommodation at the school. The District Rector Area Contributions MUST be in by Monday
8 August 2022.

8. EVENT THEME
The Theme for this event shall be: “TOGETHER IN CHRIST”.

9. EXTRAMURAL ACTIVITY COSTS

Outdoor Activities are planned to be held at HIILSIDE DAMS. Hillside Dams also called Hillside Dams
Conservancy is a national monument of Zimbabwe located in the city of Bulawayo. Youths will spend
their day there. However, there are extra activities which may require payments as required by each
individual. Below are the Activities available and the related Costs:

 Canoeing $3.00/Person
 Zipline $3.00/Person
 Trampoline $3.00/Person
 Volleyball Grounds Free (Though Teams are to bring own Balls)
 Soccer Free Grounds available

Please note that above charges are not included in the Registration Fees. These will be paid by each
individual depending on their preferred interests.

10. Programme of Events

The final programme of Events will be finalized after consultation and approval from the two Apostles.
