Technological factor

Mr Roshan decided to opt for live action rather than CG animated action.

CG animated action would have been far less risky and easier to shoot. But then CG animation would
have compromised the on the real feel of the action stunts.

Rakesh Roshan appointed Tony leading Chinese action director Who was 20 times much costlier
than the most expensive Indian action directors

Tony was the sequence designer but to execute it an Indian Action director was also needed. in
addition Bollywood has strict association rules regarding safety and proper practices making the
presence of Indian director in India mandatory. Roshan could have opted for any action director to
fulfil the mandatory requirement but he hired the best Indian director since the sequences would be
tough and hazardous and without of proper action team may even prove hazardous. Therefore
India’s leading action director shyam kaushal with team of 15 assistant and fighters were recruited
for the job.

Once the action team was locked Russian focused upon sporting it with a highly trained special
effects team, he focused upon Los Angeles the Mecca of Hollywood and state of the art special
effects features.

Towards the end of the film in two more areas foreign expertise was sought. as is the case for a
particular bike fight sequence Roshan felt the need to bring in an Australian sound design company,
whose work he had noticed in some Hollywood films that he liked

Political factor

According to the script of movie Krrish two big outdoor locations was needed one the Himalayas and
the other had to be in Asia somewhere Rakesh Roshan needed skyscrapers an fly overs for his
shooting so Hong Kong Bangkok Malaysia Singapore or Japan were the options fitted but the
shooting requirements such fulfil government sport and permission and so on was essentially
required because instead of CG live actions had to be performed.

Russian was approached by many tourism boards to shoot in their country but of the lot only
Singapore fitted. The government was keen to support the shoot and the landscape was ideal.

For the first time in the Indian film history, a large scale alliances was created with the production
house an singapore’s tourism board. as such, a first venture again, the shooting was undertaken
with a complete government approval.

Krish was 60% Made in Singapore. The international media like leading newspapers and TV channels
abroad, was very supportive for krish. the reviews were good everyone appreciated the film for
uplifting the standards of technique, imagery, and quality in Indian cinema.they all agreed that the
special effects in the action sequence were at par with international standards of film making.
