Year: 10 Subject: Maths – Week 1

Information:
 Please complete independent home learning to learn about Circle Theorems and Fractions
(see below).
 This project should take you approximately 5 hours to complete.

Instructions:
 You need to answer the question “big question”
 To help you get your thoughts in order, please answer the following questions:
1. Completing MathsWatch to 70% pass rate
2. Producing A4 posters/revision summary’s of key points for the following topics: Circle
Theorems and Fractions.
3. Starting to think about “how do I revise so I can be successful?”
4. Use of colour for long term memory retention and layout for clarity.
5. Creating exam style questions in your work.

 To help with your research, you may find the following websites useful:
o BBC bite size
o MathsWatch vle
o Khan Academy
o You Tube

Presenting your home learning:


 You will need to produce between 3 – 5 A4 pages to demonstrate the home learning you have
completed.
 You will need to clearly answer the big question, as well as the 5 questions listed above.
 You should include:
o key information and facts that you have found out
o a clear answer to the big question
o annotated diagrams that support your research

How will my work be assessed?


 You will need to bring your project into school to show your teacher the work you have
completed. Your teacher will not individually mark your project.
 You will sit a short 20-minute quiz on key knowledge and facts that you should have researched to
complete your project. Your peer/teacher in class will mark this in class.
