3. HAZARDOUS IDENTIFICATION
Un-ignitable, incombustible, non-oxidative, non-self reactive and inactive liquid of extreme
stability.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES


4.1. Eye Contact : Rinse with plenty of water and follow a proper instruction of a
medical doctor.
4.2. Skin Contact : Wash with plenty of water and follow a proper instruction of a
medical doctor.
4.3. Swallowing : Drink large quantities of water. Neutralization may be accomplished
by using aluminum hydroxide gel or milk of magnesia. Take
immediately to a doctor.

5. FIRE-FIGTHING MEASURES
Not applicable, because non-flammable substances.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES


In case of spilled:
• Neutralize with slake lime, soda ash or calcium carbonate.
• Wash affected area with water.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE


7.1. Handling : The usual precaution for handling with acidity chemical should be
observed.
7.2. Storage : In a storage tank lined with non corrosive material.
7.3. Transfer : Use feeding pump with non-acid property.

8. PERSONAL PROTECTION
Protective gloves, chemical safety goggles, and rubber boots are recommended.

Appearance : Clear to Slightly Hazy Liquid
Al2O3 : Min. 23.0%
pH (30% w/w) : 3.5 – 5.0
Very soluble in water

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY


10.1. Chemical Stability : HINCO-ALPHA tends to gradually hydrolyze to a white
turbid solution and lose the effectiveness, when it is kept
long as diluted solution of less than 3% Al2O3.
10.2. Material to Avoid : Strong bases, such as NaOH, CaCO3, NaOCl.
10.3. Hazardous Decomposition : If mix with NaOCl can produce toxic chlorine gas.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION


Acute oral toxicity: LD50 oral, rat > 12.79 gr/kg.

12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION


The chemical is decomposed into aluminum hydroxide (Al(OH)3) and hydrochloric acid (HCl)
by hydrolysis.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATION


Dispose of the chemical after neutralization with a chemical like slake lime, calcium carbonate
or soda ash. In case of disposal, observe the relating laws and regulations.
