An elephant is the largest and strongest animals. It is a strange looking animal with its thick
legs, huge sides and backs, large hanging ears, a small tall, little eyes, long white tusks and
above all it has a long noise, the trunk.
The trunk is the elephant’s peculiar feature, and it has various uses. The elephant draws up
water by its trunk and can squirt it all over its body like a shower bath. It can also lift leaves
and puts them into its mouth. In fact the trunk serves the elephant as a long am and hand.
An elephant looks very clumsy and heavy and yet it can move very quickly.
The elephant is a very intelligent animal. Its intelligence combined with its great strength
makes it a very useful servant to man and it can be trained to serve in various ways such as
carry heavy loads, hunt for tigers and even fight.

The polar bear is a bear native to the Arctic Ocean and its surrounding seas. An adult male
weighs about four hundred to six hundred and eighty kilograms, while an adult female is
about half that size. Although it is closely related to the brown bear, it has paws to occupy a
narrow ecological niche with many bony characteristics adapted to for cold temperatures, for
moving across the snow, ice, open water, and for hunting seals which make up most of its
diets. Although most of polar bears are born on land, it spends most of its time at sea, hence
its name meaning maritime bear and can hunt consistently only from sea ice. It spends much
of the year on frozen sea.

In Australia there are three levels of governments, the federal government, state
governments and local governments. All of these levels of government are necessary. This
is so for number of reasons. First, the federal government is necessary for the big things.
They keep the economy in order and look after like defensE. Similarly, the state
governments look after the middle sized things. For example they look after law and order,
preventing things like vandalism in school. Finally, local government look after the small
thins. They look after things like collecting rubbish, otherwise everyone would have diseasE.
Thus for the reason above, we can conclude that the three levels of the government are

Firstly, cars, as we all know contribute the most of pollution in the world. Cars emit a deadly
gas causes illnesses such as bronchitis, lung cancer, and trigger of asthmA. Some of these
illness are so bad that people can die from them.
Secondly, the city is very busy. Pedestrians wander every where and cars commonly hit
pedestrians in the city, which causes them to diE. Cars today are our roads biggest killers.
Thirdly, cars are very noisy. If you live in the city, you may find it hard to sleep at night, or

Picasso was one of the most outstanding and important artists of the 1900’s. He is best
known for his paintings. Almost every style in modern art is represented in Picasso’s works.
Picasso was born in 1881 in Malaga, Spain as the son of an art teacher. He studied painting
from his father and his college level course of study at the academy of arts in Madrid.
From about 1895 to 1901, he painted realistic works in a traditional stylE. He, then, entered
what was called the Blue PerioD. During this time, he only used shades of blue in his
paintings to show the poverty he saw in Barcelona.
After 1908, he entered into the style of cubism. Among his well-known cubist paintings are
“Three Musicians” and “Man with a Guitar”.
Picasso died in Moughins, France in 1973. He was really great artist.

Kang Chol Hwan was born into a loyal family that had once lived in the large Korean
community of Japan. In Kyoto, his grandfather had been supporter of Kim II Sung, North
Korean’s Great Leader since 1945. In 1961 the grandfather returned with his family to North
Korea and had important government post.
Within months, however, he was complaining to friends that North Korea was not the country
he had expecteD. He was shocked to see so much poverty, which he eventually came to
blame on the government’s stifl ing left for work and never returneD. One morning in July
1977, when Kang was nine, his grandfather left for work and never returned.
A few weeks later, seven plain clothes security guard stormed into Kang’s house “Your
grandfather betrayed the fatherland,” one of them stated” You must be punished.”

Diana was born in 1961 as the third daughter of Edward John Spencer and his wife Ruth
Burke RochE. Diana grew up in a very privileged family that had a long history of close ties
with the royal family. When Diana’s paternal grandfather passed away in 1975, Diana’s
father became the 8th Earl of Spencer and Diana gained the title of “Lady”.
In 1969, Diana’s parents divorceD. Her mother’s affair helped court decide to give custody of
the couple’s four children to Diana’s father. Both of her parents eventually remarried, but the
divorce left an emotional scar on Diana.
Diana attended school at West Heath in Kent and spent a short time a finishing school in

Long, long ago, when the gods and goddesses used to mingle in the affairs of mortals, there
was a small kingdom on the slope of Mount Wayang in West Java.  The King, named Sang
Prabu, was a wise man.  He had an only daughter, called Princess Teja Nirmala, who was
famous for her beauty but she was not married.  One day Sang Prabu made up his mind to
settle the matter by a show of strength.
After that, Prince of Blambangan, named Raden Begawan had won the competition. 
Unfortunately, the wicked fairy, Princess Segara fell in love with Raden Begawan and used
magic power to render him unconscious and he forgot his wedding.  When Sang Prabu was
searching, Raden Begawan saw him and soon realized that he had been enchanted by the
wicked fairy.  The fairy could not accept this, so she killed Raden Begawan.  When Princess
Teja Nirmala heard this, she was very sad.  So a nice fairy took her to the Kahyangan.

A long time ago, there lived on the island of Bali a giant-like creature named Kbo Iwo.  The
people of Bali used to say that Kbo Iwo was everything, a destroyer as well as a creator.  He
was satisfied with the meal, but this meant for the Balinese people enough food for a
thousand men.
Difficulties arose when for the first time the barns were almost empty and the new harvest
was still a long way off.  This made Kbo Iwo wild with great anger.  In his hunger, he
destroyed all the houses and even all the temples.  It made the Balinese turn to rage.
So, they came together to plan steps to oppose this powerful giant by using his stupidity. 
They asked Kbo Iwo to build them a very deep well, and rebuild all the houses and temples
he had destroyed.  After they fed Kbo Iwo, he began to dig a deep hole.
One day he had eaten too much, he fell asleep in the hole.  The oldest man in the village
gave a sign, and the villagers began to throw the limestone they had collected before into
the hole.  The limestone made the water inside the hole boiling .  Kbo Iwo was buried alive. 
Then the water in the well rose higher and higher until at last it overflowed and formed Lake
Batur.  The mound of earth dug from the well by Kbo Iwo is known as Mount Batur.

16 ounces cream cheese, 2 packages, softened
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs
4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 prepared Graham cracker crust
Directions:
Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla at medium speed until well-blended. Blend in 2 eggs.
Stir in chocolate chips then pour batter into Graham cracker chust. (you may sprinkle ¼ cup
mini semi sweet chocolate chips on top if you desire).
Bake at 35calcius for 40 minutes, or until certer is almost set. Cool.
For best results refrigerate for 3 hours.

Burning a CD allows you to take music from one CD and transfer it onto another CD. This

YONKERS, Nov 12th. A four alarm fire damaged 14 stores today in the Cross County
Shopping Center. The largest shopping Center in Westchester County.
Two fire investigators said the blaze apparently started in a pile of cardboard cartons at the
rear of a shoe store and spread through a utilities duct above the 13 other stores. The fire
started at 4.40 p.m. and was declared under control at 6.14 p.m. The center is on the Cross

Madrid (Reuters) – Spain’s most wanted thief, “The Loner,” saw himself as a Robin Hood-
style figure and said he robbed banks only because they stole from the public, his lawyer
said Thursday.
Accused of killing three policemen and holding up more than 30 banks, Jaime Jimenez Arbe
was planning to move on to insurance companies when he was arrested last month, Spanish
media reported, citing lawyer Jose Mariano Trillo-Figueroa.
“I am not a killer and if I was obliged to shoot at officers of the law, it was always against my
will and in order to avoid being arrested,” Jimenez said in a letter reproduced on the
websites of newspapers El Pais and El Mundo.

Geneva (AP): Indonesia has recorded another human case of the H5N1 strain of the bird flu,
raising its world-leading total to 117 cases, according to the World Health Organization.
The agency said Friday night that the Indonesian Health Ministry had reported that a 16-
year-old girl from West Java Province has been hospitalized since Jan. 4 with symptoms of

This short explanation on how a cell phone work is really wonderful. A cell phone or in long
term “cellular telephone’ works by transmitting signals of radio to towers of cellular. The
towers are networked to a central switching station. The connection usually uses wire, fiber
optic-cables, or microwave.
Then the central switching station which handles calls in certain given area is directed
connected to the wire-based telephone system. Cellulars are pick up by the towers and
relayed to another cellular telephone user or the user of wire-based telephone network.
