It is my great pleasure to recommend Nguyen Ha Phuong Linh of Grade 12D5 of our High School
for Gifted students allocated to Hanoi, Nguyen Tat Thanh High School.

As the Principal of the High School for Gifted students affiliated to HNUE, one of the top
secondary school in Viet Nam, I have had opportunities to observe my students’ participation and
interaction in study and extracurricular activities at school and to be the leading authority on their
academic records. I have known Phuong Linh as a motivated and hard-working student with
outstanding academic performance, who constantly strives for excellence in her study. Ranking at
the top of an extraordinarily capable class, she possesses an impressive GPA of 8.6 in Grade 10
and 8.8 in Grade 11. From her teachers’ reports, it comes to my knowledge that she has a keen
interest in and proven abilities for English and literature subjects, which would definitely help her
advance further in her future intellectual pursuit. I have learnt that Phuong Linh has recently
scored IELTS 7.0 at her first attempt and this new achievement has once again highlighted her
diligence and strong motivation when it is comparable to scores obtained by same-grade students
in other schools offering multi-year English immersion programs.

Phuong Linh’s personal strengths are as impressive as her intellectual accomplishments. She has
active, out going presence in class and school activities and has been a proactive and engaging
class representative since primary grades. She always supports her peers with her caring nature
and teamworking skill and thus receives high respect from her classmates as well as her teachers.
Her reliability, perseverance in her pursuits, eagerness to learn and grown and especially
willingness to go extra miles to complete her assigned duties satisfactorily will continue to serve
her well in university and beyond.

I am confident that Phuong Linh with her academic aptitude and demonstrated strengths, has great
