800th Anniversary Scholarship Application Form

Applicants for the 800th Anniversary Scholarship at the University of Cambridge should complete the application form below and send it to The Pakistan Application Centre Cambridge Admissions Office Fitzwilliam House 32 Trumpington Street Cambridge CB2 1QY England to arrive in Cambridge by 15 October 2011. Applicants must also complete and submit by the same date a Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA) and a UCAS application. The COPA replaces the previously used Cambridge Overseas Application Form (COAF). The COPA can be accessed at www.cam.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/apply/copa.html from 1 July 2011. Please note the following eligibility criteria for the 800th Anniversary Scholarship: 1. The scholarships, to be held at the University of Cambridge, are for school-leavers from Pakistan. Pakistan nationals who attend schools outside Pakistan are not eligible. 2. Applicants for all undergraduate courses except Medicine and Veterinary Medicine are eligible to apply. 3. The scholarships are for students who would not be able to fund their studies at Cambridge independently. 4. You are not eligible to apply for this particular scholarship if you already have a degree and are therefore applying to Cambridge as an affiliated applicant.

Section 2: Financial Resources


Your answers to this section will be used to determine eligibility for the scholarship, and, if you are awarded a scholarship, to assess the level of contribution to your living expenses (all scholarships cover University and College Fees).

What is your annual household income? Please state the total from all sources, i.e. income, savings, investment on capital etc.

Do you have access to savings, trust funds or investments that could be used for educational purposes? If so, please provide details.

Are there any special factors you wish to be taken into account, e.g. dependent siblings or supporting elderly relatives etc.?

Section 3: Scholarship Statement


Please explain in no more than 150 words why you would be a deserving recipient of an 800th Anniversary Scholarship.

Section 4: Entrance Examinations


Scholarship applicants may have taken one or more competitive entrance examinations for professional or other courses, such as Engineering Examination, Medical Entrance, Architecture or other professional examinations at national or state level. If you have done so, please provide information about your performance in these examinations in the table below. If you are planning to take such examinations in the future, please provide what information you can in the table below. Please note that if you have not taken any competitive examinations or the ones you have taken are not relevant to your proposed area of study in Cambridge, you will not be disadvantaged in any way.

* If invited to a scholarship interview, you should bring a verified copy of your results card for each entrance examination listed above. Failure to produce confirmation of your rank may adversely affect your Cambridge application.
