3-DAY TRAIN THE TRAINERS’ COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 3-day, 24-hour Training of Trainers course is required for OSH Practitioners and
Consultants, Internal Trainers, Supervisors, Line Managers, and all others who
often train personnel as part of their roles.

Trainers need two (2) separate sets of skills and knowledge. First, they need to
know the topic they are teaching (subject matter expertise), and secondly, the
skill to effectively present that knowledge to their audience.

In this course, participants will learn how to present the material in a clear and
logical sequence, make the presentation intelligible and meaningful while
covering the subject matter adequately and considering the needs of their
audience. They will also learn further skills in lesson planning, the identification of
training needs, training design, training facilitation and training evaluation.

At the end of this course, participants are expected to be able to present the
audience with opportunities for meaningful engagement with the subject
material while being concise and maintaining the enthusiasm of their audience.
They will also learn the fundamentals of preparing and planning an effective
lecture, while ensuring that the learning environment is conducive to learning for
all those involved.
