Executive Summary

The company is active in the field of digital marketing and has an emphasis, in particular, on the
practice of influencer marketing. It utilizes the Business to Consumer (B2C) Model in addition to
the Business to Business (B2B) Model. The primary emphasis of the report is the research into
the sort of industry that the company operates in and the path it should take moving ahead to
improve its sales in the B2B space. My experiences at Viral Pitch, where I worked in the sales
department for a period of two months, provided me with valuable knowledge that I will
incorporate into the report.

Introduction of the Industry

Viral Pitch operates in the Digital Marketing environment by providing software as a service.
Digital marketing is the aspect of marketing that uses the Internet and online-based digital
technology to advertise products and services, such as desktop computers, mobile phones, and
other digital media and platforms. More than fifty percent of consumers learn about businesses
through social media news feeds. On Instagram alone, companies may reach about 1 million
customers, while over 9 million businesses utilize Facebook to communicate with consumers.

Both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) digital marketing initiatives


utilize social media platforms.

B2B: B2B marketers are active on social media networks like LinkedIn and Twitter to create
leads. In addition, they frequently rely on PPC advertisements to reach their target consumers on
a budget.

B2C: B2C marketers focus on enhancing brand recognition and recruiting customers to their
websites and goods using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and
Pinterest. More than half of consumers find businesses through social media news feeds. On
Instagram alone, companies may reach about 1 million customers, while over 9 million businesses
utilize Facebook to communicate with consumers.

Job Role and responsibilities

Sales and Marketing:

Marketing generates brand recognition and leads for a company's product or service. In contrast,
sales interact directly with prospective clients to turn them into customers. Sales is the term used
to describe the actions that result in the sale of products or services. There are several marketing
frameworks, one of which is AIDA:

Attention:

This phase is intended to pique the customer's interest in your product or service. This is often
accomplished through numerous forms of promotion, such as social media advertising and
traditional brochures.

Interest:

After capturing the customer's attention in the initial phase, it is necessary to pique their interest
in your product or service. In this section, specific product information is offered.

Desire:

If the customer's interest in a product or service is piqued, the seller must persuade them that they
need it. In an ideal situation, the marketing of the product itself generates demand for the product.

Action:

As soon as interest transforms into want, it must be translated into the purchase action. Ultimately,
the objective of this procedure is to generate revenue. Customers will only purchase the product if
they are aware of and have a need for it.

AIDA model has influenced marketing and sales methods for more than a century. This concept
is simple to comprehend and adaptable for use in any company.

Content Marketing:

Content Marketing consists mainly of the articles and content that inform consumers about a product
or service. In the second and third phases of the AIDA model, content marketing might be employed
to generate interest or demand for your product.

Operations:

The responsibility of operations is to maximize the usage of available resources. Operations are
essentially the arrangement of labor or activities to make subsequent tasks easier. The work takes
complete focus and care so that no resources are wasted; subsequent tasks will be simpler and more
frequent.

Learnings

• In content marketing, it is necessary to make the material visually appealing, so the user is
interested in seeing it.

• A content strategy should ensure that the AIDA model's objectives are met. The content should be
written so that the potential consumer completely comprehends the product and is encouraged to
act. Your material should include a call-to-action button so that it is simple for the reader to respond
immediately to your advertisement. While generating leads, it becomes evident that patience is one
of the essential qualities to possess to be successful in sales, and you must connect with your
customer accordingly.

• As a team leader, I gained knowledge and expertise in team management. Resolving the team's
problems, speaking on their behalf, and dispelling their doubts improved my leadership abilities.

• Operations work needed alertness as of one of the most important qualities. Operations
management is essential for simplifying upcoming duties. If the initial work is completed with
great concentration, subsequent tasks will proceed without difficulty.
