ALEXANDROS PAPADIAMANDIS 7 MAY 21 10-1P .Eff.20.May. .AIRPORT.BRIEFING.
1. GENERAL
1.1. TAXI PROCEDURES
1.1.1. GENERAL
TWY H is a taxilane with reduced minimum separation distances between the
TWY centerline and objects. Due to reduced wingtip clearance, pilot shall adhere
strictly to the TWY centerline. Speed should be adjusted accordingly.
1.1.2. TAXIING LIMITATIONS
Due to lack of stop bar ground lights at RWY holding points, pilots shall apply
extreme caution as to avoid RWY incursion. ACFT shall enter the RWY after ATC
clearance.
TWY H between links A2 and A3 restricted to MAX wingspan 118'/36m.
TWY A3 can accommodate up to ICAO code C letter ACFT.
MAX SPAN 118'/36m markings available.
ACFT are allowed to taxi only at the indispensable engine power and speed.
ACFT taxiing on turning circle at the beginning RWY 01 must make a clockwise
turn with the minimum possible power.
Unless otherwise instructed, taxiing ACFT must make turning circle at both RWY
ends.
Arriving/departing ACFT taxiing to/from General Aviation stands shall adhere to
marshaller’s instructions. Follow-me guidance available upon request.
1.1.3. ACFT TOWING
Towing of ACFT only with Follow-me vehicle and requires prior permission by
ATC.

1.2. GA/BA AND NON-COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS

Due to operational restrictions, prior permission (PPR) must be obtained through
the FG PPR platform for all GA/BA and non-commercial flights prior to departing
APT of origin. Relevant requests should be communicated through a local repre-
sentative or ground handler.
ACFT up to 58'/17.71m wingspan and 62'/18.97m fuselage length are suggested
to provide a suitable towhead and towbar for push-back. Limited roll-through
positions are available. Towhead and towbar are mandatory for larger ACFT
types. Towbar is not mandatory for light ACFT up to 2000kg.
Minimum ground time allowed is 20 minutes for all GA/BA ACFT, excluding
helicopters.

1.3. OTHER INFORMATION

Birds in vicinity of APT.
Part of THR RWY 19 is not visible from TWR.

2. ARRIVAL
2.1. PARKING INFORMATION
No docking system available, parking is permitted only under instructions of a
marshaller. If a marshaller is not in sight, ACFT shall hold position until mar-
shaller is present.

ALEXANDROS PAPADIAMANDIS 7 MAY 21 10-1P1 .Eff.20.May. .AIRPORT.BRIEFING.
3. DEPARTURE
3.1. START-UP, PUSH-BACK AND TAXI PROCEDURES
ACFT may leave nose-in parking positions only with the aid of a towing truck.
Power-back using reverse thrust for jet-powered ACFT or reverse variable pitch
for propeller ACFT shall not be used unless (and under extreme circumstances)
prior approval has been obtained by the APT operator.
Taxi-out or push-back clearance may be requested only if the pilot can perform
the maneuver immediately.
When pilot requests taxi-out or push-back, he shall indicate the parking position.
Push-back and engine start-up procedure:
a) Crew shall request start-up and engine start clearance by ATC.
b) Start-up of engines shall be performed either during push-back after the serv-
ice road has been cleared or when the ACFT is aligned on the TWY.
c) Cross-bleeding start-up is not permitted on the parking stand and can only be
performed on the TWY and/or RWY according to ATC instructions. The request
for cross-bleeding start-up should be timely communicated to the APT Opera-
tions Control Center through the ACFT operator and/or the ground handler.
d) During push-back procedure, ACFT from any parking position is aligned on TWY
and positioned with nose gear abeam the lead-in line of the position it is
vacating.
e) For parking position 1, when push-back facing North is required, then maneu-
ver shall be performed in such a way so as to prevent jet blast from engines
affect ACFT parked in the GA/BA parking area. If due to operational restric-
tions of the ACFT, such maneuver is not feasible, then ACFT shall be pushed
back on TWY A2 and then pulled forward in order to be positioned with the
nose gear abeam parking stand 1A. In the above case, RWY 01/19 may be tem-
porarily affected until the ACFT is pulled forward and the TWY behind is clear.
f) For parking position 5, when push-back facing North is required, a long push-
back shall be performed in order to place ACFT nose gear abeam parking posi-
tion 4.
ACFT shall taxi-out with slight right turn to join TWY A1 centerline. In such
case, next position able to push-back is parking position 2.
g) In order to facilitate traffic and/or expedite traffic, ATC may request from
ACFT to perform a long/extended push-back or to be pulled forward with the
nose gear abeam the lead-in line of an adjacent parking position.
To expedite traffic, ATC may request engine start-up on the parking position. In
such cases, single engine start-up in idle power shall be performed. The ACFT
operator and/or the ground service provider is responsible to safeguard the area
around the ACFT in order to prevent personnel and vehicle passing behind running
engines.
