The Importance of QSCV or Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value

We earn that trust everyday by serving safe food, respecting our customers and employees
and delivering outstanding quality, service, cleanliness and value (QSCV). We build on this trust by
being ethical, truthful and dependable.

QSCV of McDonalds

The corporate philosophy of McDonalds is to meet the expectations of customers through


providing the QSCV that was envisioned by Ray Kroc, The founder of McDonalds Corporation. Efforts
are made every day to improve QSCV to provide customers with war, freshly prepared food through
the best service in a clean and bright atmosphere to enable them to have restaurant experiences
that exceed their expectations.

(In order for us to maintain the QSCV inside the store. We should always remember the 3C’s
or the communication, cooperation and coordination to make the flow of service fast and accurate.)
Quality

Quality means best ingredients, rigorous recipes, safety-ensured preparation and outstanding tastes.
We serve high-quality food satisfying McDonald's strict quality standard. We have established a
quality control system by prioritizing quality.

Service

Quick and friendly services paved the way for McDonald's success. McDonald's always puts itself in
the customer's shoe. McDonald's has developed a kitchen system called 'Made For You' in order to
serve customers with fresh and warm meals by preparing food immediately after receiving an order.
Thanks to the 'Made For You' system, we are able to provide quicker and more customer-friendly
services. McDonald's services are not just about providing food but giving happiness and joy to
customers.

Cleanliness

Cleanliness is an important principle which McDonald's has been sticking to since the genesis of
McDonald's in 1955. We provide refreshing atmospheres and facilities from kitchens to lobbies,
restrooms to parking lots. Restaurant crews have to wash their hands every 30 minute. Not only
that, but McDonald's also strictly checks sanitary conditions and employs a scrupulous system of
using different hygienic goods such as gloves while handling and cooking different ingredients.

Value

McDonald's values mean everything customers experience such as quality food, hospitality and quick
and clear service.McDonald's is committed to giving customers enjoyable experiences and be
satisfied with by providing them the best services whenever they visit McDonald's. McDonald's goal
is to share values beyond food.

The 3C’s

Communication : two-way process of reaching mutual understanding in which not only


participants not only exchange information and ideas but also create and share meaning.

Cooperation: To work jointly with others or together especially in intellectual endeavor.

Coordination: The Harmonious function of parts for effective results.

Discussing the possible causes of delays of production and service and how to eliminate the causes
of delays.

1. Availability of products made from kitchen.


- The availability of our products can also delay the right flow of our service as we discuss
thru our SOC there is an effect on our profit and to our customers.
Profit is for example, when you cook too much there is a possibility that the product
will be wasted because according to the right practice we should cook products
according to the level of production which is the Low Pink, Medium Yellow, High Blue,
and Ultra Green.
And when we cook too little the impact will be on the side of our customers. They
will wait too long if we do not follow the right procedures base on the level of
production.

*Communication between caller and the cook person is really important in production
area. And asking for level of production must be practice every now and then or every 15 minutes
during rush hour so that we on production area can manage the our cooked products without any
delays to our costumers.

2. Lack of Manpower.
- Sometimes we have observed that some of the crew are not staying on their respective
stations.
*When abandoning your station make sure you ask someone to look on your area
before leaving. And when doing turn overs, wait for you reliever before doing your last
task so that we still have someone to attend our costumers without delays
3. No Coins
- We also observed that one of the reasons of slow or blockage of service is not having
coins for change. Crew is letting the customer wait so that the crew can change some
bills. This can lead to delays or blockages.

4. McDonalds App
- When a customer say that he/she will order via McDo App, crew is not telling the
customer to generate his/her order at the speaker post, that’s why most customers will
only generate the app at the window one, this can cause delays.

5. Not repeating orders or clarifying orders.


- The moment the customers will pay orders in first window and there is a conflict in
orders the cashiering time will suffer and it will take long to deal with it. So make sure to
follow the steps of countering.

6. Not doing the power of 2


- Crew sometimes is doing a multitasking wherein he/she order take at the same time
cashiering. This can cause delays because when taking order then cashiering there is a
time the customer needs to wait for seconds in order for you to finish cashiering or
order taking.

Importance of 3C’s
Communication

- Remember, a well-run area is one where everyone is clear on what to do. They know
what’s happening in their store now and what situation to expect that can affect their
work.
- Great communication helps team work together seamlessly during their chaotic shifts. It
helps you understand what’s really going on in store, whether it has to do with guests,
employees or anything else. And when you’re communicating well with your team it’s
easier to get there to stick around.
- Bottom-line, proper communication is one of the key points to make our service, fast
and accurate and with efficiency.

Cooperation

- Also means taking turns and helping each other out. The two most important
ingredients to get along in this industry are sharing and taking turns. Effective teams
take time to take turns, to learn from each other.

Coordination

- There is always a healthy competition among the team members.


- Competition promotes a team to perform a better then his team mates and in a way
contributing to his team and organization.
- So teamwork is very important because it improves relation among the team members,
individuals who coordinate with each other come to know each other better.
- Reducing the chances of unnecessary conflicts among them and especially to the flow of
our service. As a team each individual is trying his/her best to support his/her fellow
team mates. The result increase the level of bonding among them and of course to
improve the efficiency of our service.

Focus: We treat every customer like a celebrity Our customers are the reason for our existence. We
demonstrate our appreciation by providing them with high quality food and superior service, in a
clean, welcoming environment, at great value. Our goal is outstanding QSC&V for each customer
every time.
