SEAL BORE PACKERS

ARROW-PAK RETRIEVING TOOL

The Weatherford Arrow-Pak Retrieving Tool is designed to retrieve the
Weatherford Arrow-Pak Packer. The same retrieving tool may be used
for different sizes of packers.

Features:
• Built-in bumper sub
• Retrieving tool capable of retrieving various size packers
with identical seal bores
• Built-in safety release
• Safety shear which will enable the retrieving tool to be
rotated free of the packer
• Premium threads available upon request

SETTING PROCEDURES
The retrieving tool is run in the hole and set-down force is applied when the
packer is contacted. A set- down force of 2,000-3,000 lb. is sufficient to fully
latch the retrieving tool into the packer. At this point, the release collet is
positioned directly below the support ring of the packer. Straight pull will
engage the release collet and the support ring. Tension force is applied
which will shear the screws in the support ring and shift it upward thus
releasing the packer. A built-in bumper sub is incorporated into the retrieving
tool to aid in retrieval and disengages from the packer with right-hand
rotation.

ARROW-PAK RETRIEVING TOOL ASSEMBLY

The Weatherford Arrow-Pak Retrieving Tool is designed to retrieve the Arrow-Pak Seal Bore 1.) Place top sub (1) in vise.
Retrievable Packer. The same retrieving tool may be used for retrieving different sizes of packers. 2.) Install upper latch (6) onto lower sleeve (7).
See the packer tech units to identify which retrieving tool is used to retrieve each packer. 3.) Install lower sleeve (7) onto upper sleeve (5).
4.) Install upper sleeve assembly onto upper mandrel (8).
5.) Install upper mandrel assembly in top sub (1). Install set screw (2) into top sub (1).
SPECIFICATION GUIDE 6.) Install cap screw (3) into upper sleeve (5),aligning cap screw (3) in groove in upper mandrel (8).
7.) Install shear screw (4) into upper sleeve (5).
PACKER MAX. MIN. 8.) Install central coupling (10) onto upper mandrel (8).

1.) Remove all shear and set screws (2), (3), (4), (9), and (12).

This is a safety shear, which will enable the retrieving tool to be rotated free of the packer if the
packer will not release. If this is necessary, pull slight tension and rotate to the right approximately 8 NOTE: Shear value of shear ring (13) must be greater than the shear value of the support

(13) is adjustable and should be considered prior to running the retrieving tool. [See the parts list for
