 Preparation OJT

Before carrying out the OJT program, I did an interview first at the Trans Luxury Bandung
hotel but unfortunately I was not accepted there, while looking for hotels around Bandung to
apply for OJT, the street vendors from campus advised me to do an interview at Ibis Trans
Studio Bandung Hotel which located next to Hotel Trans Luxury Bandung. I also agreed with the
offer, after carrying out the interview I was asked by the Ibis Hotel to carry out a medical test as
one of the requirements, after fulfilling these requirements, I went to the Ibis Bandung Hotel to
hold a meeting with the Ibis Bandung Hotel HRD, there was a lot of training such as I will also be
carrying out OJT, basically there is a discussion about regulations and policies as long as I carry
out OJT there for 6 months in the Housekeeping department.

 How you went there?

I used a motorcycle to go to the Ibis Bandung Trans Studio hotel and parked at the
residents' houses around the Hotel, the fare on weekdays was Rp. 3000 and on weekends it was
Rp. 4000. Actually I want to park in the Ibis Hotel area because the cost per 2 months is Rp.
60,000 but because the distance between the parking lot and the employee's door is very far so
I canceled the intention for fear of being late and spending a lot of time.

 What did you get along the training?

I got a lot of knowledge there, such as how to do a quick bed trick, clean the bathroom
quickly, how to clean the corridor on each floor, how to squeeze a mop, clean the guest
lift/service lift, calculate occupancy, how to manually wash granite floors, how to be polite to
guests and superiors how to block guest access properly, and many others that may not be
conveyed one by one.

 Before going home/OJT finish

Before ending the OJT period at the Ibis Trans Studio Hotel Bandung, there was an objection
to leaving OJT's comrades in arms, employees, SPV and good bosses, moreover there was one
friend who failed OJT because she always played with attendance even though it was very fatal,
especially when she was dismissed one time. less than a month before the OJT period expires. I
think the knowledge I get here is still lacking, especially in the room, but because the OJT period
is over and to improve my career, I have to go back to campus and carry out my knowledge
again there, even though some classmates resign and the class is randomized again.

 Impression and Hopes

I really hope that the knowledge and experience during my OJT at the Ibis Trans Studio Hotel
Bandung will be useful for me when I later enter the hotel industry, and also I can be successful
with my Room division friends and the others department in Akpar NHI Bandung.
