Semi-detailed Lesson Plan in English 2

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to do the following:

a. Identify what is a noun

b. Classify the kinds of noun

c. Recognize common and proper nouns in simple sentences

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Noun and Kinds of Nouns

Reference: Soaring to New Heights in Language 2, pp. 57-64

Materials: pictures, manila paper, and cartolina

III. Procedure

a. Motivation
1. Play the “Message Relay” game.
2. The students will be divided into two groups.

3. Each group will be assigned its leader.

4. The message will pass to each leader until it reaches the last one.

5. The last member will come in front of their classmates and say the
words.
6. The first to say the accurate words win.

b. Presentation of lesson
The teacher will ask the students what the words that they used in

the game and how it relates to the topic.

c. Discussion
The teacher will ask the student to read the meaning of the word

noun. After that, she will introduce the two kinds of the noun.
d. Generalization

The teacher will ask the students about the noun and the two kinds of the noun.
Apart from this, the students will give examples of the words and use them in a sentence.
e. Application
Directions: Identify the nouns in each sentence. Underline the proper noun
and encircle the common noun.

2. My neighbor is moving to Texas.

3. We are having a feast on Sunday.

4. Janus is reading a newspaper.
5. Her friend was born in England.

6. The students in New York have a union.

f. Evaluation
