RUGBY

MARYLYN: Hello guys, do you know about some sport not very common in Peru?

ANGELA : Hi Marylyn, Of course! My brother belongs to a rugby team.

MANUEL : Hi girls, that is interesting Angela, I did not know about rugby in Peru,

MARYLYN: I think it is a hard sport. Where is rugby played?

ANGELA : Well, In Lima there are a lot of places like the Lima University and the

catholic University, also, it’s played at well-known schools and actually at the Sport

Complex in Villa Maria del Triunfo District.

MANUEL : When did people start playing it?

ANGELA : The rugby is an old sport. It started twenty-five years ago and now most

people are practicing this sport.

MARYLYN: What about the team... How many players are there?

ANGELA : There are many players. There are fifteen players in each team.

MANUEL : How do you get points in that sport?

ANGELA : You can get points passing the ball to the opposite side of the rival team

and make a lot of points.

MARYLYN: Why do you think this sport is not very common in Peru?

ANGELA : I think the rugby doesn’t have the support from the state as if they do with

the volleyball, football and basketball.

MANUEL : You’re right. Also, most of the children at school practice basic sport.

MARYLYN: It was a nice conversation, guys, see you next time.

ANGELA : Ok! Marylyn, bye.

MANUEL : Bye girls, have a nice day.
