DESIGN CONCEPT
PC200-7 has been highly evaluated by the customers in the world since it was put
on the marked in 2001.
In 2005, we put PC200-8 on the market.
We developed PC200-8 under the three concepts of "Environment, Safety, and ICT"
which conformed to the environmental regulations while meeting the user needs
from the major markets.
This time, we put PC200-8M0 on the market which was evolved further from
PC200-8.
We made fuel economy improvements that more customers can realize by reducing
hydraulic loss and employing new engine control technologies, while maintaining the
operating performance of PC200-8.
In addition, the high definition "multi-monitor" easy to operate and the upgraded
"KOMTRAX" support energy saving operation.

FUEL ECONOMY [No.2]
Komatsu SAA6D107E-1 engine (2/2)
Design features (2/2)
In PC200-8M0, the engine fan speed and the horsepower consumed by fan
are reduced by improving the cooling performance. In addition, the loss
made in the hydraulic circuit is also reduced by increasing the piping size.
These were discarded in the form of heat in past, thus the displayed engine
horsepower is reduced but the production does not change.

Evaluation method of fuel consumption
KOMTRAX provides actual fuel consumption data in the market.
In development of PC200-8, the fuel economy for truck loading (1) was
mainly improved.
In development of PC200-8M0, however, the market fuel economy (2) is
evaluated and confirmed so that more customers will realize fuel
consumption reduction. In this evaluation method, the fuel consumption
by -8M0 is 7% lower than PC200-8.
