Junk/Drop and Experience/Drop Black

Needle builds.
The purpose of this guide is to create 2 sets of gear. One for farming both Junk and
Drops, and one for farming Experience and Drops. This will be done, in what I see as, the way
with the fewest folds and with the fewest pieces of gear, as only 2 pieces of gear will have to be
changed out. One of those pieces of gear is entirely Runewords, and therefore very inexpensive
and low level. The other depends on your overall level and statistics, but if you choose classes
and skills correctly the folding done for this item should be fairly easy as most of the stats don’t
need to be capped. These builds will take time to farm the gear and junk to build, but will be
more than worthwhile once completed.
The Runewords chosen for these builds are meant for both survivability and to maximize
the respective farming needs. On the gear that will not be exchanged the Runewords are
chosen because they are useful for both builds and even for other builds such as Attack based
builds. First I will suggest skills that are useful to have equipped.

SKILLS
Skills marked with an * are considered essential.
*First Strike- Sniper 1- Always attack first at every battle
*Hidden Body- Assassin 7- When defeating an enemy, gain “Invincible” for a short time.
*Material Analysis- Alchemist 7- Whenever you get a material in a dungeon, you get an
additional one.
Supreme Supremacy- General 7- When defeating an enemy, gain permanent global defense
Will of Steel- Monarch 3- When HP is over the maximum value, receive almost no accumulated
value of ailment.
OR
*Desperado- Berserker 9- Attack Damage +50%, Always have Bleed ailment.

The benefit of First Strike is obvious. You go first, they die, rinse and repeat, most of the
time… Hidden Body is a defensive skill that protects you from physical attacks when you don’t
go first and is required. Material Analysis, is in my opinion the most valuable skill in the game.
Throughout the game you will be constantly folding using both Junk and Materials to increase
your various stats. Requiring thousands of Materials and Billions of Junk. Doubling the materials
you get after all other bonuses in the game are calculated is a huge deal. This skill should never
leave your skill bar under any circumstances. Supreme Supremacy is very useful and becomes
even more useful the higher your Global Defense % is, as it directly lowers all types of damage
you receive in spell or attack form. Will of Steel keeps most of the ailments you receive at a
timer of 1 which will keep you alive much longer depending on which Jinxes you have to deal
with. The exception to wanting Will of Steel on your skill list is when farming for Experience. You
will substitute Desperado in to replace it, and in turn receive both a Attack Damage +50% boost.
But more importantly for the Experience build it will give you a permanent ailment of Bleed. This
will lower your healing by 50% but also allow the Runeword Thorn Road to give you Double
Experience for having an ailment on you at all times.

EQUIPMENT
Listed below is each piece of gear needed and the unique skill that each possesses,
starting with the 3 that are permanent and will NOT be switched out for the 2 builds.

(S Slot) Angel Shield- Army of apostles - When restoring HP, do damage on the enemy
according to the restored amount of HP (30%)

This means that every attack you absorb health from will also hit the enemy for 30% of
the amount restored. The higher your Absorb on Attack % the more damage it deals.
I found this in the Tower of the Moon.

(B Slot) Magical Beast Vest- Beast Skin- Physical damage may be inactivated.

Meaning attacks of a physical nature might be negated randomly. Each success could
save your can life, especially if you are low life, and a revival. Always useful even if it rarely
procs.
I found this in Spirit Tree Hollow (Orthos)

(X Slot) Abyss Pupil- Clairvoyance- Increase the number of items gained.

This is a given, more items means more folding


(I got this as a Mix item from the Craft Hammer or Denatured Scroll, not sure of drop location.)

For the Junk/Drop build:

(W Slot) Spiked Bat- Levy- Increase gained junk as the variation of Ailment given to the enemy
increases.

Some suggest that for this to be optimized you need to have all 7 current ailments
equipped. Usually I would agree, but after testing I believe that the survivability granted through
the added Runewords and Skills listed allows deeper dungeon exploration and therefore
increased base Junk gain, and allow for higher rewards, since the 3 missing ailments only
amount to something like +30-45%.

(X Slot) Truthful Loupe- Appraisal eye- Unique drop appears with doubled frequency.
Most of the important items and or gear in the game fall under this category so it is
useful to have equipped when farming.
I found this in Basin Cave.

For the Experience/Drop build:

(W Slot) Satan Staff- Ambition- Increase gained EXP according to the floor started the quest
(25%, up to 100).
Easy way to double the amount of Experience you get from each dungeon try.
I found this in the Eternal Cave (Satan)

(X Slot) Steel Shackles- Brain Storming- Gain triple EXP, while gain no Junk.

The very obvious bonus of equipping this item is also the reason why it can’t be used in
conjunction with the Junk farming build.
I found this in the Large Labyrinth.

STAT DESCRIPTIONS:
Listed below are all of the stats, Unique Skills, and Runewords used for these builds.
Keep in mind that for every stat that has an actual cap, such as Number of Attacks % at 100%,
you only need enough to max it when combined with the passives of your classes. So planning
ahead as best as you can and getting as many stats from classes as you feel necessary will
save you hundreds of thousands of junk. Odds are you will have most classes at 10 before
completing this build, but that is just the tip of the iceberg anyways.

$$$- Stats with number caps that you can save junk by only raising as far as needed.
!!!!!!- Absolutely Required (Ailments may be switched with others, but these 4 hamper the
enemies far more than HP drain, Restoration negatives, or attack impairments. Mainly because
enemies die instantly and with Mud Floor enemies only get 1 attack anyways.)

1. !!!!!!Black Needle- If the enemy has at least 3 ailments, attack damage causes “Instant
Death” (This is Not the same as Final Blow which requires the enemy to be below a
certain HP % to have a chance to succeed.)
2. Hallucination- Reduce enemy’s skill by 10% for each ailment given to the enemy.
3. Mud Floor- Enemies with ailments can’t attack more than once per turn.
4. !!!!!!Greed- Gain triple junk, while gain no EXP.(Reason why Power Drain and Revive +1
replaces Experience % and Experience per Kill on Truthful Loupe.)
5. Wall of Ice- Whenever you take damage, you gain a shield based on your maximum
shield (8%)
6. Infection- Give received ailment to the enemy at the same time.(All 4 of your equipped
curses will hamper or weaken the enemies.)
7. Dirty Blood- Receive no damage by “Poison”, but restore HP.
8. Overheal- Increase HP up to the double of the maximum HP by restoration.(Absorb on
Attack % will cap your HP every single hit if your attack is high enough.)
9. No Rest March- The floor skip effect allows you to move an additional +1F.(Floor Skip
100% with this will allow you to skip 3 floors at a time, which allows for climbing to higher
floors and clearing dungeon tries faster, without losing any predetermined drops as long
as you clear each try.
10. Long-Distance- Receive no reflect damage from the enemy when attacking.
11. Thawing- Whenever you receive a HP recovery effect cure on Ailment. (Absorb on
Attack % will remove 1 ailment per turn.)
12. Sharpened Fangs- Gain attack damage (50%) according to the current floor. (Helps keep
your Attack Damage high enough so that Absorb on Attack % maximizes your HP every
attack.
13. Full Charge- Do critical damage without failure on the next turn after failed in an attack.
(Amazing skill to have speaks for itself)
14. Power Drain- Steal “Reinforcement” that the enemy is going to gain. (Very useful as
some of the reinforcements are very powerful.)
15. !!!!!!Thorn Road- Gain double EXP when in ailment. (Reason for Desperado class skill)
16. !!!!!!Much Learning- Gain double EXP from boss characters. (This is a sizable boost to
overall base EXP as Boss Monsters give 3-4 times more experience than normal
monsters.)
17. Revive +1- Revive automatically when dead (Max:9). (Gear Unique skill listed as a
second Gear Unique skill on Burning Feathers. CAN be gathered with a Blank Essence
and then folded up to a maximum of +9. Do so for obvious reasons.)
18. !!!!!!$$$ Number of Attacks %- Increase the number of attacks (normal attacks)
(Max:100). (Without this capped you will not do 9 attacks per turn every turn. Cap it with
class skills and folding.)
19. Max HP- Increase the maximum HP (dies when HP becomes 0)
20. Max HP %- Reinforce “Max HP”
21. Accuracy- Increase accuracy ratio of attacks (normal attacks)
22. Accuracy %- Reinforce “Accuracy”
23. Attack Damage- Increase damage of attacks (normal attacks). (In this build this stat is
purely used to boost your Absorb on Attack % skill to keep your HP maximized. All
boosts to this stat should come after other useful, or defensive abilities or skills.)
24. Attack Damage %- Reinforce “Attack damage”
25. Absorb on Attack %- When doing attack damage, HP will be restored according to the
given damage. (Literally a life saver, this will, if your attack is high enough, maximize
your HP after every single attack you make as long as you hit.)
26. !!!!!!Curse- Do additional ailment when attacking (receive damage +50%)
27. !!!!!!Fear- Do additional ailment when attacking (do damage -35%)
28. !!!!!!Paralysis- Do additional ailment when attacking (make immovable with a 35%
probability)
29. !!!!!!Blind- Do additional ailment when attacking (accuracy ratio -50%)
30. Max Shield- Increase shield amount (receives damage instead of HP and recovers when
finishing the battle) (Very important when your health is reduced by a jinx. With Dirty
Blood poison will heal you instead of bypassing your shield to harm your HP.)
31. Max Shield %- Reinforce “Max Shield”
32. $$$ Finding %- Increases the chance of a unique drop appearing.
33. $$$ Drop Item Quantity %- Chance to double items gained in the dungeon (Max: 100)
34. $$$ Drop Item Rarity %- Enhance the quality of items gained in the dungeon (Max: 100)
35. $$$ Junk Gain %- Chance to double junk gained in the dungeon (Max: 100)
36. $$$ Junk Gain on Killing- When defeating an enemy, junk will be gained (Max: 99)
37. $$$ Exp Gain %- The amount of experience you get in dungeons will have a 100%
chance of being increased!
38. $$$ Exp Gain on Killing- When defeating an enemy, experience will be gained (Max: 99)
39. $$$ Floor Skip %- Skip the floors without boss characters more frequently (Max: 100)
40. ### Max Attacks +9- increase the maximum number of attacks (normal attacks) (Max: 9)
(If gained by using Vial of Bath this will cap your max attacks easily.)
41. ### Elite Slayer %- Do more damage on elite monsters and boss characters. (Always
nice to have a boost against the tougher enemies, and it is a freebie with the 9 Max
attacks you get from the Vial of Bath.)
42. ### Final Blow %- When the enemy’s HP is below a certain percentage of the maximum
value, attacks cause “Instant Death” (Max: 75) (As this is not a damage build this is just
a bonus of having the 9 Max attacks with the Vial of Bath. Will give you a 30% chance
when classes are all at level 10.)

BEST GEAR FOR FOLDING EACH STAT:


If you are into min/maxing and not wasting your Junk on lower level folding, then these
pieces of gear will give you the most stats per fold. Some are rarer than others but they can be
found. If you plan ahead many can be found while you level up prior to beginning these builds
and even while you are putting this build together. Also listed are the Runes for the Runewords
you will be needing. I will list the God items in as few as possible to limit required farming to
fewer locations. How you get them or which God item you choose doesn’t matter as long as the
stats match. You may also decide to use Crafting Hammers or Denatured Scrolls on Jewels or
Rotten items to get the others of their types.
