Graffiti art has its origins in 1970s New York, when

young people began to use spray paint and other
materials to create images on buildings and on the sides
of subway trains. Such graffiti can range from bright
graphic images (wildstyle) to the stylised monogram
(tag).

Graffiti’s were only done on walls by street artists and

was later picked up by the young trend setters.

They started painting graffiti’s on their clothes, shoes

and even their skate boards.

industry. They are a major source of inspiration for
designers, photographers and artists.
Juicy Couture uses these graffiti’s for their major
perfume advertisements.
