EMERGENCY PROCEDURE

7.2 HOW TO ACT IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT OR MEDICAL EMERGENCY

Immediately contact the Safety Leader in your area
and Verónica Morales at 2 2579 2537 (Property Assist).

First aid kit and defibrillator are available on each floor.

There is a first aid room available for all employees,

contractors and visitors, on the 21st floor, where there are
implements for care such as a wheelchair, stretcher, first aid
kit for paramedic use among others

The medical emergency will be assessed by the ESACHS

paramedic, either from the CorpGroup building or from BHP's
exclusive CEP (this will be defined by the severity and
response time required by the emergency).

The paramedic may determine preliminarily, if the emergency

is related to the work or not, these are:

 Medical emergency accident or common illness.

 Medical emergency due to work-related accident or journey.

The accident or medical emergency will be measured according to its severity:

 Minor Medical Emergency: They are considered as injuries or situations in which the physical integrity of
the person is not significantly affected. The person is conscious and can move by their own means.
 Medium Medical Emergency: They are considered as injuries or situations in which the physical integrity
of the person is significantly affected. Although the person is conscious, he/she cannot move by their own
means.
 Major Medical Emergency: Those who are considered a latent risk in a person's life, and he/she is
unconscious.

The actions to be taken in each situation will be:

1. Major medical emergency (Accident/common or work-related illness):

In the event of a medical emergency of major severity that considers a latent risk in the person's life and that is
or is not related to work, the Floor Safety Leader and the ESACHS paramedic should be advised immediately
(+56 2 25795111 - extension 5111). If the person is at obvious risk (prior evaluation by the paramedic), the
nearest ambulance (Clínica Alemana) should be called at the following phone numbers:

Clínica Alemana –Alemana Rescue T: +56 2 2910 9911

Clínica Alemana – Call Center T: +56 2 2210 1111

2. Medium Medical Emergency (By accident or common illness):

In a medical emergency of medium severity that is not related to work and in which the person is conscious and
without apparent risk, the paramedic will assess whether the emergency transfer to the nearest care center is
required and the need or not for an ambulance, otherwise, the person should be transferred (as the Direct
Supervisor deems appropriate) to the health service that the affected person deems appropriate according to
their health plan to be treated.

3. Minor Medical Emergency (Accident or common illness):

In a medical emergency of minor severity that is unrelated to work and in which the person is conscious and
without apparent risk, he/she must go by their own means to the health service that the affected person deems
appropriate according to their health plan to be treated

4. Minor Medical Emergency (Work related accident or illness):

In a medical emergency of minor severity that is related to work and in which the person is conscious and without
apparent risk, they must go by their own means to the mutual (ACHS) according to the BHP Inc. Accidents at
work Guide.

Emergencies related to visits or contractors will be treated in the same way.
