Lab Assistant
The Mission

To assist the samples department with the manufacturing of samples for use by the sales teams, along with the
management of records and stock levels, working closely with the technical and regulatory manager within specific
areas of Food & Nutrition in our lab located in Indonesia .

Reporting & Location

The Lab Assistant will report to the Lab Manager, Indonesia.

This role will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.


Main Accountabilities

• Day to day responsibility for the laboratory;


• Support the manufacturing of samples for use by Sales Teams and maintenance of records and stock levels of
same;
• Manage and manufacture of products to customers’ formulations and evaluation of stability tests of same, under
guidance, whilst supporting the manufacture of products to develop formulations and evaluation of stability
tests, under guidance;
• Assisting and support in re-packing of materials for Samples Department and review the implementation of
procedures;
• Manage and cover the holidays in the Samples Department if and when required;
• Maintain and support compliant Health and Safety Procedures in the laboratory and Samples Department

Qualification & Skills

We are looking for a proactive personality that is ready to work in an international rapidly changing and challenging
environment, who is passionate about data in all its many forms, with the following qualifications and skills:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Food Technology.


• 1 - 2 years of progressive experience in technical or regulatory roles in the Food & Nutrition industry is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of technical product specifications.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent knowledge of legislation, rules and regulations related to the work activity / area of competence.
• IT literate.
• Fluent English required (both verbal and written communication), other languages a plus.
• Team player with excellent communication, networking and collaboration skills, able to work as part of a small
team.
• Excellent time management skills in order to follow different assigned targets, able to anticipate issues and
problems before they surface.
• Highly organized and flexible at the same time, hands-on, able to work well under pressure, handle multiple
priorities and meet deadlines.
• Sense of ownership and drive (creative problem solver, self-starter with a bias for prompt action and removing
roadblocks, accountable to get things done in a timely manner, perseverant).
