Academic papers are just essays, reports, and researches.
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
Academic papers includes: book review, literature review, research report, project
proposal, and position paper.

2. Before reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I thought that

Telling and referring a book to a friend is enough.
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
Simply stating your personal feelings about a book is not enough. You need to
support your statements with explanations and references to the work.

Writing a literature review is all about giving comments to a literature.
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
In writing the literature review, the purpose is to convey to the reader what
knowledge and ideas have been established on a topic, and what their strengths and
weaknesses are.
