1. PURPOSE:
The purpose of generating this Method Statement is to define the procedure step by step to implement the correct
practices for Installation of Electrical Conduits through the guidelines so as to ensure that the job execute complies
with the requirements of Contract specification & serves the intended function to satisfactory level.
2. SCOPE:
This Method Statement refers to various work procedures contained within Contractor's Project Quality Plan for
MEP Works & Contract Specification, which explains and covers the Installation of Electrical Conduits Works.

5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES:
5.1. Engineer-Incharge :
→ Ensure all required submittals are made and required plant / tools / material and manpower is
available in timely manner.
→ Ensure all execution of works are carried out according to approvals, contract specifications,
approved MEP drawings, Project Quality Plan for MEP works, Method Statements for MEP
works, and safety measures are implemented.
→ Ensure necessary coordination with Client / Consultant Representative and other Agencies work
for timely completion of job.

→ Responsible for preparation of quality plan, obtaining necessary approval from the Customer as
applicable and assist PM in effective implementation of approved quality plans and QC
procedures.
→ Responsible for communicating with all site staff about the QA requirements with respect to the
project.Responsible for Receiving and reviewing of all reports related to quality matters.
→ Responsible for organizing and conducting Quality audits with the co-ordination of PI and
planning engineer.
→ To maintain a comprehensive Inspection and Test records as per approved Project Quality plan.

→ Ensure implementation of all safety measures and procedures specific to the nature and type of
execution work being carried out at site.
→ To ensure that all project personnel / site execution team is fully aware of their responsibilities
and have full understanding of the related safety rules, procedures.
→ To advise the involved personnel about the involved risk at work and necessary health,safety
and environment precautions / measures to avoid it.
→ To keep informed the site management and Consultant about the adopted safety measures as site
and ensuring their adequacy.

To carry out installation of Elecrtrical Conduits work , below mentioned procedure shall be followed step by step
in sequential manner.

9.C The jointing process of PVC conduit will be followed as mentioned below :
9.C.1 Both the joining ends of conduits will be cleaned
from inside as well as from outside by using QA/QC

01 Installed conduits and outlet boxes are as per approved material submittals.
Location and height of outlet boxes are correct as per approved shop drawing

and in proper alignment.
Installed conduits are free of any damages and the routing is coordinated with

other services.
05 The required pull boxes are provided as stated in the method statement.
Adequate care is taken to plug the pull boxes / back boxes with thermo Cole

material to prevent the ingress of concrete.
Conduit ends or stub-ups are capped or sealed properly to prevent the ingress

of dust, moisture or foreign materials.
