The Secret World of Celtics

In April 2022, the Celtics qualified for the 2022 NBA


playoffs as the second seed in the Eastern Conference,
and faced the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the
postseason. They next faced the Milwaukee Bucks in the
conference semifinals and the Miami Heat in the
conference finals, defeating both teams in a seven-game
series, earning the Celtics their first Finals appearance
since 2010.

Led by Wade and, following a trade for former NBA Most


Valuable Player (MVP) Shaquille O'Neal, the Heat won
their first NBA title in 2006, after Riley named himself
head coach for a second stint.

the Boston Symphony Hall on December 20, 2010.

Keith Lockhart assumed the post of principal Pops


conductor in 1995.

Lockhart's conducting career began as the associate


conductor of both the Cincinnati Symphony and
Cincinnati Pops orchestras, as well as music director of
the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra is a pops orchestra based


in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, founded in 1977 out of
the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

A pops orchestra is an orchestra that plays popular


music (generally traditional pop) and show tunes as well
as well-known classical works.

In 1934, in an effort to earn money to finance his


planned folk opera, Gershwin hosted his own radio
program titled Music by Gershwin. The show was
broadcast on the NBC Blue Network from February to May
and again in September through the final show on
December 23, 1934.

By June 1945, commercial television in the United States


had been frozen, owing to the lower level of priorities
given to it as compared to war work. Furthermore, ABC
was generally slow to move into television broadcasting.
It did win approval to build five television stations; the
first, WJZ-TV in New York was completed in the summer
of 1948.

On October 22, 1962, WABC-TV expanded its weeknight

Newcomers Bill Beutel and Jim Burnes were the anchors,
with Cosell continuing on sports and Rosemary Haley as
"weather girl". However, this effort failed to draw viewers
from the ratings leader WCBS-TV and second-place
WNBC-TV.

On February 5, 2012, the station premiered the I-Team


promo during NBC Sports' coverage of Super Bowl XLVI
featuring former NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly, but later
on the day after the Super Bowl, they edited out Kelly's
clip due to some complaints from rival WCBS-TV.

NASCAR returned to NBC Sports properties in 2015 under


a ten-year deal, with NBC once again airing the second
half of the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series
seasons.

contender who led a large portion 2009 Atlantic
Championship season, ultimately finishing third.

In the 1990s, the raceway was the venue for the Laguna
Seca Daze music festival, which featured performances
from music acts in the folk, alternative rock and jam
band genres.

Major performers who emerged from the 1940s to the


early 1960s included Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Phil
Ochs, Joan Baez, and Bob Dylan.
