Reflections
Since our country is in crisis due to Covid-19 pandemic, it
is now more than ever that I do my part and show my
patriotism. And one way to show my admiration for my
country is by simply wearing a face covering to protect
the health of those around me. This is one of the easiest
and greatest opportunities I have to support my state
and country. Wearing a mask is one simple step we can
take to protect our fellow citizens and avoid the spread of
a disease that impacts our health, economy and every
other aspect of life.

Prayer
Father God, today I pray that you continue to bless and protect my country and my fellow
Filipinos. Please ignite our hearts to always do good and support one another as we face the
challenges this new normal is giving us. May we remain patriot and loyal to our country and
help us to be a good citizen of the Philippines. Amen.

Reflections
Making a commitment entails sacrifice.
It is binding one’s self to a course of action, a
promise, a pledge, or a firm agreement. To
make a commitment, therefore, involves
seriousness of disposition, sincerity of decision
and steadfastness towards its completion.
Breaking it can easily damage integrity or
reputation. No wonder, commitment, like
honesty, is a lonely word (as a song goes) but
definitely worthy and rewarding.

Prayer
God, give us the strength and courage to bear the extra burden of teaching and caring for our students in this season
of COVID-19. May you inspire us with creativity as we navigate being thrust into needing to teach in new ways, with
new schedules, and with new parameters around. Ignite our hearts that we may remain committed and dedicated in
our chosen vocation. Fill us with peace as we find ways to deal with the many new concerns we have to address to do
our jobs this school year. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen

 Find as many ways as practically possible to
regularly demonstrate genuine concern for others.
"As practically possible" does not mean spending lots of
money. Co-teachers don't expect an elaborate gesture; they
just want to know you care about them as individuals.
 Practice intentional listening as a critical tool and
signal of concern. 
People feel a tremendous sense of value and worth when you
show your concern to them.
 Make the day-to-day work experience as hassle-free
as possible.
 Find out what bugs your co-workers or makes their jobs more
difficult. Resolving even minor annoyances can have a big
impact.
 Encourage (and demonstrate) peer-to-peer concern
among co-teachers. 
Why is this critical? It creates a strong sense of community
among teachers and enhances the emotional connection
between our us teachers and our organization.
Reflections
Showing our concern to those in our lives on a regular
basis is more challenging than it sounds. The people
we hold closest and dearest to us are often the ones
we expend the least amount of effort in displays of
caring and affection. Yet, most people appreciate and
need the occasional display of concern.
It’s not hard, but it does take a conscious effort on our
parts, and one that we may need to remember to do at
least once a week, if not every day.

Prayer
Father God, today I pray that you continue to bless and protect the people I love, the people I
cared for. Help me oh God to always show my concern to the people I meet every day. Teach us
to be grateful for the people and things in our lives. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
