COMPETENCY LEVEL OF SECONDARY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN ALBAY

DIVISION: BASIS FOR A TRAINING PROGRAM IN SCHOOL MANAGEMENT

Statement of the Problem

The purpose of this study is to describe the relationship of socio-demographic profile
to the Competency Level of Secondary School Administrators in Albay Division and propose
suggestions as a basis for a Training Program in School Leadership and Management.
Specifically, it seeks to answer to the following questions:
1. What is the socio-demographic profile of the school administrators in terms of;
a. age
b. gender
c. highest educational attainment
d. length of service?
2. What is the competency level of the school administrators in terms of the following;
a. School Leadership
b. Instructional Leadership
c. Human Resource Management and Development
d. Parents’ Involvement and Community Partnership
e. School Management and Operation
3. Is there a significant relationship between the school administrators’ profile to their
level competency?
4. What suggestions may be proposed as a basis for a Training Program in School
Leadership and Management?

HYPOTHESES:
H0: There is no significant relationship between the socio-demographic profile to the school
administrators’ level of competency.
H1: There is a significant relationship between the socio-demographic profile to the school
administrators’ level of competency.
