Hello!
I thought I would share this month’s update from Dan & Brittany Hansen, a staff couple
new to our campus this past year.
“The Hansen's summer got off to a quick start with our Summer Mission adventure in
Wisconsin! Located an hour east of La Crosse, we settled in at the Living Word Bible Camp and
before we knew it, students were showing up excited to grow in their faith at Trek.
The long weekend was spent focusing on
leadership, ministry planning, and students growing in
their walk with God. Each day was filled with many
adventures that included canoeing, wall climbing, and
zip lining to name a few! We were so blessed to be a
part of God working through the nearly 100 students that
attended the Trek weekend and are thankful for you our
ministry partners that support what God is doing
through prayer, finances, and words of encouragement.”
During the morning sessions, Students
worshipped and learned from God’s Word. The topics
were intended to grow them in core truths they need to
grow in their own faith and pass that on to others. Key
ministry training (how to share the gospel and multiply
your life) was taught in the morning and then practiced
during an outreach in La Crosse, WI one afternoon.
Two UND students attended Trek with the
Hansen’s. Here are some of Mason’s thoughts. “Trek
taught me a lot about Scripture. My favorite part was
the sense of community and how everyone was Isaiah, Dan, Mason
connected through God. I loved the activities that we
did and especially everything that we learned throughout our lessons.”
We pray that the Trek students and the rest of our students scattered back at home, camp,
and on other adventures grow in their love for and commitment to Jesus and return next month
with a passion to pray and shine the light of Jesus all or our campuses!
