Today, you are going to learn the sound of letter a.

II. Presentation
I am going to show and tell you some words that begin with letter a (ant,
apple, ax, arrow, alligator). What is the beginning sound do you hear?

III. Model
I’m going to say the word and repeat after me.
This is the letter that has a sound. Let me write the letter while saying the
sound.

IV. Practice
a) Guided
Teacher show objects that begin with letter Aa. Say the name of the
objects.
b) Independent
Have the pupils think and give an object that begins with letter Aa.
V. Evaluation
Show again the pictures or objects.
Ask: What is the beginning sound of the following objects?
● If the child have mastered the sound of letter Aa and was able to
identify or say the name of an object that begins with Aa, proceed to
the next letter.
● If the child did not progress teacher, go back to modeling.
