IV. Impact of the Project

Frequent hand washing removes germs from hands. This helps prevent infections especially in
this time of pandemic. This prompted the School Principal of Felisa Villoria Bond Memorial School to
construct an enhancement of Handwashing facilities for the school in relation to the covid -19
pandemic preventions.
It is presumed that this project would have a greater impact as to the health and well-being of
the students and the teachers in the school especially in the opening of face-to-face classes.

NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE ENHANCEMENT OF HANDWASHING FACILITIES FOR THE SCHOOL

IN RELATION TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC PREVENTIONS.

Felisa Villoria Bond Memorial School headed by the school principal, Dr. Socorro O. Pegalan,
initiated the enhancement of handwashing facility. This is a Gender and Development (GAD)-funded
project through the Department of Education. It is noted that the budget for such project is Php. 17,
290. 00. The said project is deemed very important in this time of pandemic.

Handwashing nowadays, is considered one of the many health and safety protocols set by the
Department of Health (DOH), along with the proper wearing of face masks, social distancing and
facility disinfection. These safety protocols are needed to be followed to prevent the spread of virus
specifically COVID-19. This prompted the school head to initiate the enhancement of the school’s
handwashing facility.

The project started with the procurement of construction enhancement materials and followed
by construction proper. The school hired Mr. Julieto Mangubat as the mason. The handwashing
facility promotes good health among teachers and pupils. As of the moment, the handwashing facility
is one hundred percent done and can be used by teachers, pupils, and others.

Felisa Villoria Bond Memorial School is an institution that continuously answers the needs of
pupils and community. It will always show its constant efforts to promote not just the quality
education but also the health and well-being its clientele.
