PRULink Elite Protector Series (Elite Series)

Cooling-off period
This refers to the standard fifteen (15)-day period during which the client may review his/her policy.
• If the client chooses to return a PRULink Assurance Account Plus (PAA Plus) or PRULink Exact
Protector (PEP) plan, Pru Life UK will refund the regular premiums paid in full.
• If it is a PRULink Investor Account Plus (PIA Plus), PRUMillionaire, or PRULink Elite Protector
plan, the client will be refunded the value of units allocated to his or her policy plus all
charges. No Surrender Charge will be imposed on the amount of refund.

Grace period
A grace period of thirty-one (31) days, without interest charge, is allowed for the payment of the
regular premium except for the first regular premium. During the grace period, the policy remains in
force unless fully withdrawn. If the life insured dies on the regular premium’s due date or during the
grace period, the Company will pay the death benefit.

Automatic unit cancellation


If the client fails to pay a regular premium when due or discontinue paying regular premiums and
there are sufficient units in his or her account, his or her policy automatically continues at the same
sum assured for the same benefits through unit cancellation.

Premium holiday
It is a break in regular premium payment with the intention of resuming premium payment at a
future date. Investment-linked policies must be paid for 36 (thirty-six) months or 3 (three) years to
avail of the premium holiday option.

Incontestability
Except for non-payment of regular premiums or any other grounds recognized by law and
jurisprudence, the Company cannot contest this policy after it has been in force during the lifetime
of the life insured for two (2) years from the policy effectivity date, as shown in the Policy Data Page,
or from the date of last reinstatement, if any.

Except for non-payment of regular premiums or any other grounds recognized by law and
jurisprudence, the Company cannot contest this policy for any future increase in sum assured after it
has been in force during the lifetime of the life insured for two (2) years from the policy effectivity
date of the increase in sum assured.

Where death benefit is not compensable, the Company’s liability shall be limited to the regular
premiums and all top-ups paid less all withdrawals made on the top-up units.

Misstatement of age
If the age of the life insured has been misstated, the sum assured will be adjusted to the amount
which the insurance charge would have purchased at the correct age, applicable risk class, and
applicable insurance charge as of the policy effectivity date, or as of the effective date of any
increase in sum assured.

If at the correct age, the life insured is not eligible for the benefit cover under this policy, the
Company’s liability shall not exceed the regular premiums and all top-ups paid less all withdrawals
made on the top-up.
Suicide
In case of suicide by the life Insured within the first two (2) years from the policy effectivity date or
from the date of last reinstatement, if any, then the suicide shall not be compensable. However,
suicide committed in the state of insanity shall be compensable regardless of date of commission.
Should there be change in legislation regarding the matter at hand, the pertinent provisions of the
Insurance Code, as amended, will apply.

In case of suicide by the Life Insured within the first two (2) years from the effective date of any
increase in sum assured, the increase in sum assured shall not be payable unless suicide was
committed in the state of insanity. Should there be change in legislation regarding the matter at
hand, the pertinent provisions of the Insurance Code, as amended, will apply.

Where suicide is not compensable, the Company’s liability shall be limited to the regular premiums
and all top-ups paid less all withdrawals made on the top-up units.

Assignment
The Company is not bound by any assignment of this policy unless duly endorsed on the policy and
duly recorded by the Company. The Company assumes no responsibility for the effect, sufficiency or
validity of any assignment. The Company has the right not to endorse any reassignment by any
assignee.
