TRAINING PROPOSAL

I. Title:
DISTRICT WEBINAR ON GIRL POWERED NUTRITION DURING THE
PANDEMIC

I. Rationale/Background :

Girl Powered Nutrition (GPN) is a Global Programme run by the World Association
of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, (WAGGGS) through their Member Organizations in four countries
- Madagascar, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Tanzania - chosen because of their high rates of
adolescent malnutrition among girls.
The sudden change in our situation affects our lives worldwide due to pandemic
result of COVID-19. Our health and nutrition was also affected and we need to continue
our advocacy on how to improve our young people’s habit regarding the food intake.
This virtual training will enhance the knowledge and skills of a mother and
daughter with regards to nutrition. And why is it that the participant is a mother and
daughter? Because, most of the time they are the one who buy and prepare food for the
family. Knowledge gained in this virtual training will serve as their basis in preparing
food.
The proponent believes the significance of this training to further enhance
knowledge and attitudes of mother and daughter regarding Girl Powered Nutrition for the
greater benefit of the family members especially the star scouts.

II. Training Objectives:

This Webinar aims to:

1. Enhance the habit of good nutrition among Star Scouts;

2. Equip participants with knowledge and skills on preparing food;
