OPERATIONS FOR PUBLIC UTILITY JEEPNEYS WHOSE POINT OF
ORIGIN ARE THE MUNICIPALITY OF PA VIA AND THE MUNICIPALITY
OF STA. BARBARA, TO ILOILO CITY, VICE VERSA. WHO ARE
HOLDERS OF PUBLIC UTILITY JEEPNEY PASSE..~ ISSUED BY TIIB CITY

\ WHEREAS, with the issuance of certificates of public conveyance to public uti(jty

· -\ jeepneys of the Municipality of Pavia, it has become imperative for the City of Uoilo~ thru the
Sangguniang Panlungsod to enact' a regulatory ordinance providing for a specific route of
operations within the territorial jurisdiction of Iloilo City~ consistent with the .intent and spirit of
the Perimeter Boundary Ordinance.

NO:W THEREFORE~ be it ordained by tlie Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of ltoilo.

in a session assembled that;

Section 1. Upon the effectivity of ~ordinance, for all the intents and. purposes of
Regulation Ordinance 20f4-:Z68, as amended, the Municipality of Pavia is
geographically catcgori7.ed as the FIRST TOWN located centrally from lloilo
City; while the Municipality of Sta Barbara, the SECOND TOWN.

Section 2. ~he route for PUJ's with Certificate of Public Conveyance and signboard

n Pavia-Iloilo City, vice versa, are as follows:

Point of Origin - U~ Jaro tum left to Lope,- Jaena Street - upon reaching
Jaro Plaza tum right to Rizal Street - tum left to Rizal Street (fronting
Archbishop's Palace) - tum right to,, Commission Civil Street - continue until
Burgos Street, Lapaz,,.... upon reaching Lapaz Plaza tum right to Huervana

Section 3. Public Utility Jeepneys under Section 2A of this ordinance shall be

limited to one hundred (100) units.. while public utility jeepneys under Section
2B of this ordinance shall be limited to fifty (5{)} units~ as per agreement with
the Municipality of Pavia tbm theirC~ Committee on Transportation.

Section 4. Sta. Barbara- lloilo City, vice versa

Section 5. This ordinance shall amend pertinent provisions relative to the specific route of
operations of Sta. Barbara PUJ's under Regulation Ordinance 2007-195~ as
amend~

Section 6. All other provisions of Regulation Ordinance 2007-195, a<> amended, remains
in force and effect.

Section 7. Separability Clause

If any portion of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or

circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of this ordinance and the
.application of such provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be
affected thereby.

Se-etion 8. Effectivity Clause

This ordinance shall take effect upon awroval and publication.
