CTTC IPPF Batch 4 Class “MAALAB” celebrates Graduation Ceremony

Iwahig, Puerto Princesa – The Batch 4 Class "MAALAB" from Iwahig Prison and Penal
Farm (IPPF) together with other Corrections Transitory Training Course (CTTC) trainees
from the National Head Quarters (NHQ) and other Operating Prison and Penal Farm
(OPPF) celebrates its graduation rites via an online platform and was hosted by the
BUCOR National Head Quarters (NHQ) at Muntinlupa City and was simultaneously
conducted in different OPPFs on April 5, 2022 at the New Conference Room.

The Corrections Transitory Training Course (CTTC) program aims to introduce the
trainees to a uniformed environment and equip them with proper uniformed personnel
mindset, attitude, and values expected as personnel of the Bureau of Corrections
leaving behind their civilian behaviors.

The IPPF Batch 4 Class "MAALAB" has a total number of twenty-seven (27) IPPF
personnel composed of fifteen (15) males and twelve (12) females who were absorbed
in the uniformed service with noncommissioned ranks.

During the ceremony, awardees from IPPF are the following: Academic Top Ten: 4th
– CTO1 Marilyn G Dacanay – Grade: 97.39 6th – CTO2 Reynaldo Jose D Roque –
Grade: 96.94 8th – CTO3 Earl Jude A Arias – Grade: 96.85 10th – CTO2 Jaime Val
V Dela Peña – Grade: 96.79 Marksmanship Award Male Category – CTO2 Jaime
Val V Dela Peña Female Category – CO1 Faye S Madriñan Bernardo Carpio Award
Male Category – CTO2 Levy T Evangelista Female Category – CTSO1 Amabelle A
Magno Leadership Award – CTSO3 Monette M Martin Tactical Leadership Award –
CTO3 Earl Jude A Arias

Present during the ceremony to witness and support the event is CSUPT JOEL R
CALVELO, Acting Superintendent of IPPF, together with CCINSP GARY A GARCIA,
Deputy Superintendent for Security and Operation. Also present are the competent
instructors from the Corrections Training School headed by CSO2 QUIRICO A
ALIGAGA, Course Director.

Through the leadership of USEC GERALD Q BANTAG, Director General, under the
guidance of CSUPT JOEL R CALVELO, Acting Superintendent of IPPF, to train,
upgrade and increase the qualification standards and professionalize the personnel
through such course program is in line with the bureau's mandate to provide highly
efficient and competent correctional services.
