33 1) Pigging of the pipeline is required for pipeline monitoring by means of an intelligent pig.

35 2) Pig launcher is not pressurised when not in use.

1 6) The Pig Launcher shall be designed in accordance with Specification for Pig Launchers and Receivers
2 NAWPPL-BIMS-NPPL-000-MC-SPE-00007.

4 7) One non-intrusive type signaller (local and remote indication) is required on the Minor Barrel of the pig Traps
5 (see NAWPPL-BIMS-NPPL-000-MC-SPE-00007).
6 One "Open door" remote indication is required for mounting on the pig launcher/receiver.
7 All instrumentation and relevant power cables (i.e. power for pig signaller) shall be routed to the relevant junction boxes placed at skid edge.
8 Junction boxes and relevant supports shall be provided by Pig Traps Supplier (refer to doc. "NAWPPL-BIMS-NPPL-000-MC-SPE-00005
9 SPECIFICATION FOR PIGLAUNCHER AND RECEIVER" for details relevat to installation's requirements).

11 8) Painting shall be carried out in accordance with Specifications listed in the requisition.

13 9) Pig Traps end closure to be provided with a pressure safety interlock according to Interlock System Philosophy
14 NAWPPL-BIMS-NPPL-000-PR-PHI-00001 and NAWPPL-BIMS-NPPL-000-MC-SPE-00007.

16 10) Low range pressure indicator (nozzle K1) to be visible from the pig trap door.

18 11) End closure of traps shall be SCHOLZ manufacture where size permits. Other manufacturer shall be selected with Company approval.

20 12) The end closure shall conform to the general requirements of ASME VIII, Div 1, Section UG-35 (b) (Quick Actuating Closures).

22 13) Impact test at -20°C (40J minimum average and 32J minimum individual guaranteed).

24 14) The bore of the minor barrel shall be sized to match the internal diameter of the pipeline.

26 15) Support saddles shall be both sliding type. Eyelets on the support baseplate shall be provided.
27 Eyelets dimensions shall guarantee a bi-directional movement (backward-forward) equal to 50 mm (see picture for details).
