SYNTHESIS:

The Three-day District Online In-Service Training focused on Multi-Modal Assessment Cum Grading
System in Light of Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan. Different Distance Learning Modalities
were identified. These included the Modular Distance Learning, Online Distance Learning, the T.V and
Radio Based Instructions and the Blended Learning Modality. The effectiveness of specific distance
education will be utilized through the untiring effort and collaboration of educators and parents as well,
for the benefits of our learners. Schools across the district of Pangil used their best practices on how to
improve the implementation of modular distance learning.
Teachers utilized lesson exemplar as models of effective instructional planning based on Regional
Memorandum no. 296, s. 2020, Guidelines on the Preparation of IDEA Lesson Exemplar. The four
phases through different activities allow and expose learners to gain and maximize their knowledge and
more importantly to develop skills and attitude.
One of the primary purposes of assessment is to gather information about learner’s performance or
progress and also to determined learners’ interests and skills. Different Multi Modal Suggested
Assessment in Distance Learning is essential, specifically in our chosen learning modality which is the
modular distance learning. It encourages learners for their active listening and participation. Using
technology developed the talents and skills of our learners. Students from different backgrounds and have
varied experiences and abilities have be given a chance to show their interest. Using Multi Modal
Material in teaching is an important process to have teaching success and learner’s achievement. Learners
learn with different styles at different speeds even in different environments like the situation of our
education today, when the subject matter is given by way of a variety of teaching strategies.
Designing Supplementary Assessment Materials is as important aspects in engaging learners and
empowering them to address their needs to deepen their learning. Using rubrics in assessing learners
given them the chance to accept their ideas in sensible way. It also provides learners with engaging
activities, through which they develop skills, acquire concepts, and be responsible for their learning.
Lastly, let us not forget that effective instructions should results in the development of desirable attitudes,
ideals, interests, understanding and abilities.
