Engineering
Lexo Energy is a new and fast-growing network of technology-led roadside retail stations
in East Africa that offer the highest standards of fuel, lubricants, tyre repair, food and
Relevant Experience beverage and more.
3 Years We are seeking an engineer to fill a Retail Field Engineer position. Our ideal applicant is a
graduate of a civil engineering or mechanical engineering program. The function of a Retail
Industry Field Engineer is to manage and support the field operations on projects. You will report
Oil & Gas to the Head of Engineering, primary responsibility will be to ensure the site supervisors and
staff have all information necessary to complete the job. And as an extension, the Retail
Location Field Engineer is ultimately responsible for understanding and accomplishing the
Nairobi, Kenya company’s goals and protecting and promoting the interests of Lexo Energy Kenya Limited
in all matters.
Level of Education
Bachelor’s Degree You will supervise all development and implementation of all projects. You will also
oversee facility upgrades and is actively involved in any other project-related work.
Skills / Competences
Responsibilities.
Engineering
Commercial • Lead in contractor management for delivery of agreed KPI through monthly
Analytical performance reviews and periodic contractor performance audits, in line with
Reporting predetermined contract management procedures.
HSSE • Ensure timely compliance to statutory equipment inspections and validation
regulations.
• Develop and maintain a strong HSSE culture within Contractors and compliance
to Company HSSE standards.
• Support management of Equipment and Assets Maintenance contracts and
deliver performance on time, within budget and to the required quality standards,
with minimum interruptions to station operations.
• Support procurement of maintenance services in liaison with the procurement
department and especially through provision of scope, standards and negotiation.
• Support the development of annual growth budget and plans, including scoping
and scheduling of CAPEX projects.
• Provide support to growth and Maintenance Capex projects as and when
required.
• Work closely with the Territory Managers to enhance liaison and teamwork to
deliver desired site maintenance levels.

Qualifications /Experience

• University degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, from a recognized university

with 3 years working experience in Engineering
• Strong team member with good interpersonal skills, personal initiative, and drive.
• Knowledge level in HSSE.
• Great understanding of AutoCAD & MS Project
• Ability to think big picture and consider long-term implications of ones’ actions
• Passion for looking for ways to improve individual and/or company performance
• High flexibility and ability to deliver to deadlines.
