Customer statement:
• Engine gets sporadically overheated.
• Coolant warning lamp comes on.
• The text information „Engine overheated“ is displayed.
Service centre findings:
• The fault may not occur during the check at the service workshop.

Technical background
This fault is caused by the deformed sealing ring of the water pump shaft (Fig.1) blocking the movement of the
regulating slider mechanism (Fig.2).
