Project Description:
The Alawwal Bank, previously known as Saudi Hollandi Bank, was a Saudi Arabian bank based in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was the first operating bank in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and was
founded in 1926 as a branch of the Netherlands Trading Society.
Project involved was a Technical upgrade where TOCFEE Framework was outdated. WAS (Web
Application Sphere) was introduced with release R17 for T24 Application (CBS) in SHB. An
estimated of total 16,000+ Regression Test Cases were executed with end to end functional coverage
of Retail and Corporate Business verticals to ensure no impact creation for the technical upgrade.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Understanding the test requirements, functionalities and dependencies on each change request.
Clarify requirements with requirement team.
Identifying the critical business scenarios and preparation of test cases in the Test Design.
Performing Test Design Review.
Preparation of prerequisites using OFS to minimize effort on Test data creation.
Performing Sanity test.
Involved in test execution and test report preparation.
Perform end-to-end testing and coordinate with various operation and production teams.
Logging, retesting and closure of defects.
Dealing directly with business analysts, developers, clients regarding the defects raised during execution.
Report and track defects in defect management tool.
Participate in daily defect triage meetings and troubleshooting calls.
Client Name: SABB (Saudi British Bank) (Jan 2020 –Jan 2021)
Project Description:
The Saudi British Bank is a Riyadh-based Saudi joint stock company in which British banking
firm HSBC Holdings PLC owns a minority stake. The bank traces its origins to the British Bank of
the Middle East which was acquired by HSBC in 1959. The merger saw a 300-member project team
complete thousands of tasks, including the migration of 4,500 corporate clients and 500,000 retail
customers originally from Alawwal bank into the new combined business. This historic Merger
pushed SABB becoming Third largest bank in Saudi Arabia.
Integration approach was carried through MFS (Mapping Functional Specifications) with DMTs
(Data Mapping Tables) thereby integrating Alawwal Bank CBS (T24) and SABB Bank CBS
(Mainframe AS400 HUB).
Project Description:
ISO 20022 is an ISO standard for electronic data interchange between financial institutions. It
describes a metadata repository containing descriptions of messages and business processes, and a
maintenance process for the repository content. The standard covers financial information transferred
between financial institutions that includes payment transactions, securities trading and settlement
information, credit and debit card transactions and other financial information.
IPS system covers exclusively for Inbound and Outbound payments with injection of Pacs008 (XML)
schema holds Debtor and Creditor Information, where corresponding acknowledgment from SP
(Saudi Payments ) received in Pacs 002 (XML) schema format. Cancellation of Payments (Camt56)
XML schema with proper Business Reason Code (BRC) provided.
