Description and Application

PF-UHIB is a shale inhibitor designed to prevent shale hydration expansion and keep the wellbore
stability. It is effectual to protect the reservoir from damage and maintain pH. Usually it is used in
High Performance Water Base Mud / Deepwater Drilling Fluid/Completion fluid.

Recommended Treatment
The optimum concentration of PF-UHIB required is dependant on the type of mud and the formation
lithology. Claystone will require more PF-UHIBTM than shale and Deepwater Drilling Fluid will require
more than High Performance Water Base Mud. Generally concentrations will be in the range 2-4%
（v/v）.
PF-UHIB can be added into the pre-mixing mud, or can be added directly into the active pit. PF-
UHIBTM exhibits optimum performance when pH in the range of 9-10 .

Product Handling
Ventilation : Well-ventilated.
Respiratory protection : If meets atomization product, should wear the organic matter filtration
respirator with NIOSH approval.
Protective clothing : Testing clothing, apron, COSL’s coverall for work.
Eye protection : Wear the chemical resistant safety goggles, installs the eye washer and
the fast wet equipment in the work location.
Exposure guideline : No applicable.

Packaging
PF-UHIB is available in 55gal/drum and 4 drum/pallet.
