WRITING AN INFORMAL E-MAIL

1. Start with Hi+ name, or simply Hi/Hello, followed by a comma.


2. Use an opening expression.
3. Body: make paragraphs for different ideas. Use connectors/expressions, to start
new ideas: “as for…”, “other than that,…”, “there’s something (I)…”, “I’d also
like to (tell/ask you)…”,…
4. Show that you’re going to end the letter by using a “closing paragraph”.
5. Closing formula
6. Signature
