Meditation is the method the sages of the East employed to access the power of the god-brain. To us in
the West, it often serves only as a means of relaxation. To the Laika, meditation is journeying—entering
the Timeless Now to heal events that occurred in the past, and to correct the course of destiny. It is
the first step toward accessing the divine within nature and within ourselves. In the Timeless Now,
destiny hangs like a ripe fruit for our picking. This is the fruit of the second tree of Eden, the fruit of life
everlasting.

In many Indigenous communities, elders sit in meditation, envisioning the world they want their
grandchildren to inherit—one in which the rivers and air are clean, there’s food for all, and people live
in peace with one another. They track along our collective timelines to find a more harmonious future.
This is not the probable future, because they already know what that will be: a world much like the one
we are now experiencing—filled with pollution, devastation, and war. Instead, they track for a possible
future, no matter how improbable, where people live in harmony with nature, and peace with each other.
The sages of old called this “dreaming the world into being.”

This is our ultimate task today: to look through a narrow window into the future to find what our species
is becoming 10,000 years from now, and to bring that vision back into the present to inform the person
we are becoming today. In this way, we can consciously participate in our own evolution.
THE PRACTICE OF
MASTERY OF TIME

IN THIS VIDEO YOU LEARNED:

◊ About the nature of reality and how we can shift from the
particle to the field state
◊ The qualities of the quantum field
◊ The practice of mastery of time
◊ How to enter a sacred space in order to prepare for the
journeying process

The masculine theology dominating western culture has devastated our earth, and severed our For the
Laika, time is intertwined with space, very much like the concept in physics known as space-time. The
shamans call it pacha. It is the basis of the word Pachamama, or Mother Earth, our home in time and
space. Since space and time are deeply connected in Andean cosmology, it is not out of the question to
imagine that one could traverse time just as one can travel through the landscape.
If this is difficult for you to imagine, try the definition of space-time in physics. The essence of Einstein’s
theory of general relativity is often described as follows: matter tells space-time how to curve, and
curved space-time tells matter how to move. It’s like a river.

For the Indio, the river is a good metaphor for many things, including time. They speak about mysterious
currents beneath the surface that can take you back to your birth and beyond, before the moment of
your conception and to earlier lifetimes, and to the beginning of time itself. The currents of the river of
time do not flow from the past toward the future only. And you do not have to fight the current to swim
upstream like the salmon do. You simply must find the right undercurrent that can take you as far back
into the past as you wish.

EXERCISE:
4-4-4-4-BREATHING EXERCISE

Sit comfortably. Rest your hands in your lap and gently close your eyes or softly focus on a point on the
floor in front of you. Inhale to a count of four. At the end of your inhalation, hold your breath for another
count of four. Exhale in one continuous breath to an additional count of four, until your lungs feel empty
of air. For a final count of four, do not breathe. Repeat this process four times.
Although this exercise sounds simple, the “little-death” can be disorientating, and you’ll probably feel
light-headed. This light-headedness is your entry into an altered state of perception, so do your best
to hold the full count. I’ve found this exercise to be as powerful as the states of consciousness I’ve
experienced during deep meditation.

Practice opening sacred space and 4-4-4-4 breathing until you can do it without reading instructions.
