AIM AND OBJECTIVE

AIM:-
At the end of experience, the students are able to understand the urban health
nursing experiences will enable the students to acquire knowledge, skill and be positive
towards rendering comprehensive care to the population.
OBJECTIVES:-

 Discuss the common health problems of the urban population with community urban
population with the special reference to community under study.

 Identify the health need service and problem of the urban population.

 Describe the health services administration at local, district and state level.

 Discuss the care delivery system for urban population.

 Discuss and participate in various community development programmes.

 Participate in preventing, promotive, curative and rehabilitative action.

 Conducted by the PHC sub centre and other health welfare agencies.

 Participate in all community social activities appreciate the concept of holistic community
living.

 Render comprehensive care to the individual family and community.

 Organize various community health activities for population implement and evaluate
them.

 Maintain report and record in the community.

 Supervise health personal working in community.


 FAMILY SURVEY:-

 DEFINITION :-
It is the method of collecting of quantitative information about items in the
population.

 STEP OF THE SURVEY:-


1) Ms. Pradnya waghmare gave us the introduction of the survey.
2) Our area of survey was Shivaji Nagar
3) In our group we are 11 students.
4) We callected 13 families each.
5) We collected data under the following headings:
- Demography
- Immunization
- Family planing
- Chronic Illness
6) We grouped and analyzed the data as per given format.
7) In this survey analysis report total values and percentage of each component was
presented.

DEMOGRAPHY
We the students of fourth year Basic B.sc nursing students have surveyed the area of
Wadgaon kolhti (Shivaji Nagar) and demographic data are :-

INTERPRETATION:-
Was found that from among 736 population 19-35 years of age group were more 274 in
Shivaji Nagar And 0-1 year were less 20.
IMMUNIZATION
It is said , “ prevention is better than cure “ as this world is surrounded by many disease ,
similarly there are different vaccination for those disease in order to cure it . It acts as a part
of immunity and necessarily increases the resistance power of person to fight against disease.
So immunization plays a vital role in preventing disease .
Definition:-
“ Immunization is the process whereby a person is made immune or resistance to an
infectious disease , typically by the administration vaccine which stimulate the person against
subsequent infection or disease.”

Foundation of immunization:-
In may 1974 , the WHO launched the global immunization programme known as –
Expanded programme on Immunization ( EPI) to protect the children against six disease like
diphtheria , whooping cough , tetanus , polio , measles by year 2000 and EPI was launched in
India by January 1978.

INTERPRETATION:-
It can be interpreted that few 10% of population has not got immunization.
FAMILY PLANNING
"It is the way of living and thinking that is adopted voluntarily on the basis of knowledge,
attitude and responsible decision by individual and couple in order to promote health and
welfare of the family group and thus contribute effectively to the social development of the
country.

OBJECTIVE OF THE FAMILY PLANNING:


1) To bring about wanted birth.
2) To avoid unwanted birth.
3) To control the time to which birth occurs in relation to age of parents.
4) To identify the number of children's in the family.
5) To promote spacing between two pregnancy.

FAMILY PLANNING STATUS IN COUPLE PROTECTION RATE:


It is the indicator of the prevalence of contraceptive practice in community.
DEFINATION:-
Couple protection act is defined as the percentage of eligible couple effectively protected
against child birth by one or other approved method of viz. sterilization, condoms or oral
pills.

FAMILY PLANNING

INTERPRETATION:-
By the above diagram we can easily interpret that in permanent method-Tubectomy Being
performed in more amount than that of vasectomy. Vasectomy is not being performed by
men Because of some false beliefs, unawareness& unwillingness. In temporary method oral
pills & Condoms are used maximum.

CHRONIC ILLNESS
DEFINATION:-
“It is a condition in which health is impaired, a departure from health and
Alteration of the human body interrupting the performance of the vital function.

Webster’s defines, “It is a condition in which the health is impaired, departure from
A state of health and alteration of human body interrupting the performance of the
Vital function.

DISTRIBUTION OF CHRONIC ILLNESS


INTERPRETATION:-
After the survey analysis of 140 families, we made a conclusion that; Individual 134 are
affected which 11.48% are suffering from Diabetes Mellitus,9.1% from Hypertension, 1.12%
from Tuberculosis,1.64% from Asthma,6.48 % from Arithris,1.04% from Breast
Cancer,0.52%from Angina Pectoris,4.39% from others diseases like Chronic Kidney Disease
(CKD) & Appendicitis

SUMMARY
At the end, I would like to summarize the following aspect, after the
Conduction of the survey on 2020-2021 of 140 families,
1. Demographic data revealed that the ratio male is to female is 2:1
2. Immunization status revealed that the, total number of children who revised
Immunization is,
Male: 40
Female: 48
Hence immunization percentage found in Kaiser Colony is 100%

Copper-t:-10
Condom:-26
Oral pills:-26

CONCLUSION
At the end of survey analysis of 140 families, we conclude that:-
The total population of wadgaon (ko) is; the female population is greater than male
population.
In the area of wadgaon ko the immunization rate is satisfactory; i.e.100% noticed.
The permanent family planning method i.e. tubectomy, vasectomy, and temporary family
planning method i.e. oral pills , Copper-T and condom.
Female are more prone to chronic illness then male , due to improper dietary patterns , no
regular exercise , lake of knowledge and more stress.
