Multidisciplinary Project for Class VIII

Objectives-

 Know the history of India’s freedom struggle  Know the importance of history records

Outline of the Project


Your project should include the following activities-
1. Discuss why this period is important in Indian history (in 50-80 words).
2. Develop a timeline of major events in Indian history between 1651 and 1857.
3. Describe the major battles during this period. Write a paragraph on each (in 50-80 words each).
4. Write about the Indian rulers/freedom fighters and social reformers who contributed to the
struggle during this period. (at least three or more- in 50-80 words each)
5. Describe (in 50-80 words) how the condition of Indian artisans/farmers deteriorated during this
period.
6. On a map of India, mark the urban centres/ cities where major events of this time-period took
place.
7. Discuss (in 50-80 words) how this time-period has impacted present India.
