All individual events and Online Publishing shall be conducted virtually which will be supervised by two proctors from the Regional Technical Working Group. 2. The proctors will facilitate the contest, the collection and uploading of the outputs into the designated drive 3. All group contest (Collaborative Desktop Publishing, Radio Script Writing and Broadcasting, and TV Script Writing and Broadcasting) except Online Publishing shall be conducted face-to- face. Contestants who are vaccinated are preferred. 4, To immerse the contestants with experiential journalism (gathering of date, organizing of data and broadcasting! write-up of the news), a press conference shall be held as the basis for the content of Collaborative Publishing, Online Publishing, Radio Broadcasting and TV Broadcasting. 5, During the press conference, the resource person will give an opening statement. Afterwards, ‘so members from every division (from any of the event - Elementary or Secondary) will be given the chance to ask a question and may add one (1) follow-up question. Each division must agree whom to field. They are urged to listen to the questions asked and the answers s0 as not 10 repeat the same question already answered. 6. All members of the team must stay in their designated area at the venue following the health protocols as they take note of the discussion. Only the photographer (for collab). and videographers for TV accompanied by director! standupper may be allowed to roam around the ‘venue but within the designated place allotted for them to take photos and videos. Violation of this item is subject for disqualification. 7_A live streaming of the press conference will be setup for the online publishing in a Facebook Closed Group Page. 8. Coverage in the production of cutputs for Collaborative Publishing, Online Publishing, Radio Broadcasting and TV Broadcesting including its Infomercials must be based on the topics ‘Address: F. Any deviation from the rule shall be communicated beforehand with the regional organizers. Contest Facilitators 1 the contest events will be managed and supervised by assigned contest proctors/ facilitators. They are selected school paper advisers from different divisions, However, they are not allowed to facilitate their own divisions. ‘The contest facilitators shall converge at the regional office three days before the competition to discuss contest rules and procedures. 5. Befere traveling o their assigned divisions, the contest facilitators will collect from the regional technical team the contest materials securely sealed ia envelopes and which flap signed by the regional journalism supervisor. Along with the contest pleces are ahswet Sheets where contestants write their compositions. Each contestant will receive two empty sheets (stapled). 4. After the virtual lecture, contest participants will be escorted to the contest room, Contestants are not allowed to bring their mobile phones, electronic devices (including smartwatches), and lecture notes to the contest room. 5. Schoo! paper advisers are strictly prohibited from entering the contest room. Division ‘organizers may be allowed to enter the room upon the approval of the contest facilitators. 6. There will be # total of four contestants in the room at a time per category: two in elementary (English and Filipino) and two in secondary (English and Filipino). 7. The contest facilitator shall distribute the answer sheets first. Each contestant will receive two (2) empty sheets (stapled) and fill up the attached template by each participant before the start of the contest—to be detached by the contest proctors after the time allotted before the scanning of entries. A contest facilitator, witnessed by a division organizer, shall open the envelope containing the contest materials in front of the participants. Before opening the envelope, the witness shall inspect it to make sure that the seal and the signature on the flap are secure. The ‘witness can leave the veniue once the envelope is opened. 9. As much as possible, every contest must commence simultaneously throughout the region. ‘The regional technical team will instruct the contest facilitators on the starting and finishing time through a group chat. This will allow the division organizers and contest facilitators to address technical problems and other concems before deciding on the actual contest time, 10. The contest facilitators shall inform the participants of the starting and finishing time. Contestants have one and a half hours to complete the writing task. The contest piece or fact sheet distribution is included in the contest time. 12. The contest facilitators shall collect the entries immediately after the task. They will ensure that the template filled up their name, school, division, coach/adviser and event indicated , before allowing the participants to leave the venue. Transfer of Entries 1, In collaboration with the division organizers, the contest facilitators shall scan the entries and send the digital files to the regional technical team via email, Google Drive, or any reliable opplications. Registration forms should also be scenned and sent to the regional technical team. They will be used as references in decoding the winners' identities later. ‘The regional technical team will transfer the files to the appropriate folders in Google Drive, which can only be accessed by the regional technical team and the judues. 4, The judges will evaluate the entries and send the results to the regional technical team via email or Google Drive. 5, The regional technical team will consolidate the results and prepare the list ofall winners based on the registration forms sent from the different divisions.
