Microsoft Windows & Devices Group is driving the development of the new
hardware
solutions that are bringing new and exciting experiences to the user.
Devices Analysis Engineering (DAE) team is supporting this objective by
providing the effective failure analysis solutions which improve the product
quality and drive the improvements back into the product development
process.
As such, we look for the candidate who has the passion in consumer
electronic system development and has the ability in resolving the issues
during the product launch and mass production.

Responsibilities
The candidate will involve the product transfer from China factory to
Vietnam factory. The key role is to perform the failure localization
effectively that helps to improve the turnaround time in further performing
the physical failure analysis.
This position involves the development of the mechanical engineering for
various of Microsoft devices, deeply engage with development and NPI
team to understand the mechanical design and the specifications in all
critical measurement. Therefore, the candidate must be able to demonstrate
the strong technical knowledges in product mechanical design,
manufacturing process, and metrology.
The candidate also needs to have good interpersonal skill as he/she is
expected to work with difference functional teams across the organization to
bring up the new Microsoft devices from NPI stages to mass production,
resolving the yield issues and improving the product quality as early product
milestone as possible.
At the same time, the role needs to reach out to source for the external lab
which equipped with advanced capability in fault isolation and leverage
their facilities to perform the analysis to achieve the excellent cost
management.
The role needs to provide his expertise in recommending the appropriate
technique to suppliers for performing the fault localization and interpret the
report at first time right and recommend the solution effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience on electronic product design or manufacturing.
3D modeling: proficiency in using Creo Parametric is desired and
preferred.
Worst case and statistical tolerance analysis.
Knowledge on engineering materials including metal, plastic and
elastomer, etc.
Knowledge on Plastic injection mold, molding, and plastic secondary
processing.
Knowledge on Metal stamping, forming, and its secondary processing,
