The family of Microcomputer

1. Desktop : It's computer designed for one place and for one person.

It's constitutes of : Monitor, keyboard, mouse, case(CPU), speaker.

2. Laptop : Everything (elements) in one in laptop the mouse is represented by touchpad.

3. Electronic tablets : like laptop, the mouse is represented by touchscreen.

4. Hand held :

Tablet ;

Notebook ;

Hybride.

Understanding

Keyboard : is an input device that allows the user to enter the data ( Number, letter, sound, images) in the
computer.

Role of keyboard :

- Typing the data in computer ;

- To navigate ;

- To play game ;

- To access program quickly by using shortcut.

KEYBOARD SHORTCUT

The ordinary keyboard bas 101 keys.

One key can have two or more characters.

Ex : * CTRL + A = Selected item ;

* CTRL + C = To coup the selected item ;

* CTRL + X= To cut the selected item ;

* CTRL + V/Shift + Insert = To paste selected item ;

* CTRL + Z = To undo an action ;

* CTRL + Y = To redo an action ;

* CTRL + D = To delete the selected item ;

* CTRL + F1 = To close the active document ;

* CTRL + ALT + Tab = To use the arrow key to switch between open item ;

*Window logo + Tab = to cycle through the program on the taskbar ;

* ALT + Esc/Echap =

* F10 = For to activate the menu bar.

Type of keyboard

We distingwich two types of keyboard:

- AZERTY ( That's a french keyboard);

- QWERTY ( That's English Keyboard).

The six first letters are on the top left of keyboard.

These keyboards are similar but the difference is :

Q in AZERTY is : A.

The parts of keyboard

Typically a keyboard contains keys for individuals letters, numbers and special characters and specifies
functions.

A keyboard is connected to the computer by using a cable or wireless connection.

The keyboard contains four parts :

* Alphanumerical keys ;

* Numeric keypad ;

* Function keys ;

* Direction keypad.

Ex :

- Letters from A-Z ;

- From 0-9 ;
- From F1-F12 ;
