1. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) puts emphasis on Academic Freedom in terms of
the faculty and their subject. What is your understanding of the term?
 Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) have the freedom to choose the persons to teach, the
subjects to be taught and how faculty members may teach these subjects. Unlike in DepEd
where there is direct control over schools in basic education, HEI’s have their freedom to
make decisions with their school operations including selection of faculty members and
students to be accepted, as well as subjects to be taught.

2. What is the impact of TESDA to the Philippine economy?

 TESDA has a big impact to the Philippine economy because it teaches people lifelong skills
which they can use to be productive citizens of our country. They may use these skills to find
a job not just here but also abroad. Poverty may be alleviated because more people will be
employed by using the skills that they learned in TESDA and it will be good for the
economy.
