1. The purpose and requirements

- Guide the procedures on how to use MapInfo software to locate an object satellites
coordinates, to create points for the site, creating sectors, creating Handover between
sectors, distance measure between sites, and displaying information about each sector
to use handheld GPS device serves to retrieve data about the coordinates of the
position to be taken.
- In order for the MapInfo to run properly, it must be installed carefully without
forgetting its Tools files

4. Definitions and terminology

- Azimuth: is the angle created by the beam perpendicular to the direction of the
antenna and the North, rotating in a clockwise direction.

- Coordinates: coordinates of a point on the Earth is determined by the value of

longtitude and latitude, this value is determined based on the global positioning
system GPS (Global Positioning System) of the US.

1. INTRODUCTION TO MAPINFO

STEPS FOR GETTING STARTED WITH MAPINFO

 Once the MapInfo has been installed to your computer, then you have to use
below steps to open it.
 Go to MapInfo folder
 Double click on “RunMapInfo-32bit” for 32-bit computer or
“RunMapInfo-64bit” for 64-bit computer and wait.
 Click OK
