GRE

The Graduate Record Examination is a standardized test that is required to be given by students seeking
admission in any of the graduate schools. The GRE helps graduate schools assess the qualifications of
applicants for advanced study.
GRE has the following three sections.
1. Analytical Writing Assessment (popularly called AWA)
2. Quantitative Section
3. Verbal Reasoning Section

GRE is marked out of a total of 340 points. Essays are scored on a scale of 0-6 in 0.5 increments. Sectional
Scores, both Verbal Reasoning &Quantitative sections are scored on a scale of 130-170 in 1.0 point
increment. – allotted is 130 -170(Maximum) per section.
