BARANGAY RESOLUTION NO. 107 – 2017

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CONGRESSMAN ATTY. LAWRENCE LEMUEL H. FORTUN OF THE 1 ST
DISTRICT OF AGUSAN DEL NORTE COVERING BUTUAN CITY AND THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAS NIEVES TO ALLOCATE
FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MULTIPURPOSE HALL FOR LA SOLEDAD NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL OF BRGY.
NONGNONG, BUTUAN CITY.

WHEREAS, La Soledad National High School formerly known as La Soledad Integrated High School was established on the
school year 2008-2009 by the Department of Education Division of Butuan City through the able support of the Rotary
Club of Metro Butuan;

WHEREAS, on same year, the first year students of La Soledad Integrated High School occupied room in La Soledad
Elementary School because there’s no building constructed for high school students until the year 2012;

WHEREAS, by the year 2013, the three classrooms building was constructed for the high school students and on the
same year the high school was separated from the elementary and another one classroom building constructed in the
following year;

WHEREAS, when the additional two years in high school was fully implemented by the government thru the Department
of Education, the two classrooms building was constructed to cater the Senior High School particularly the Grade – XI of
the past school year and other four classrooms building constructed on same year and being used by the students in this
current school year;

WHEREAS, at present, the classrooms are sufficient for the Junior High School and Senior High School students of La
Soledad National High School but the said school has no Multi-Purpose Hall for the use of the students especially during
there are activities conducted in school;

WHEREAS, in every activity conducted by La Soledad National High School particularly during graduation or moving up
ceremony and any other activity in the past years and even in the present school year, they used the Barangay Covered
Court located at the Barangay proper which is far away from the school campus and both teachers and students found
hard and felt hassle in transporting the materials such as tables and chairs used in every activity conducted from the
school to the Barangay Covered Court;

WHEREAS, the continues increasing in numbers of its enrollees every year in the said school, the Multi-Purpose Hall is
very important for the use and benefit of the students of La Soledad National High School;

WHEREAS, the said problem was raised by the high school Principal on their monthly PTA meeting and was presented by
the regular session by the Barangay Kagawad Committee Chair on Education and through its deliberations, the members
of this Council found that the presented fact is order and reasonable;

NOW THEREFORE, upon motion of Kagawad Joy Bajao Publico jointly seconded by Kagawad Miguel S. Burdeos Jr. and
Kagawad Marcos J. Bitoon, be it…

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, TO REQUEST THE HONORABLE CONGRESSMAN ATTY. LAWRENCE LEMUEL H.
FORTUN OF THE 1ST DISTRICT OF AGUSAN DEL NORTE COVERING BUTUAN CITY AND THE MUNICIPALITY OF LAS NIEVES
TO ALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MUTLI-PURPOSE HALL FOR LA SOLEDAD NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL OF
BRGY. NONGNONG, BUTUAN CITY.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copy of this resolution be furnished to the Congressional Office of Hon. Lawrence H. Lemuel
Fortun, City Mayor Office, DepEd Division Office and all agencies concerned for their information and favorable action.
