This is to submit the proposal of the innovation of the undersigned teacher titled “Project ALAM
– Alamin ang Layunin upang maging Aktibong Mag-aaral” towards oneness in purpose of
having a safe and motivating environment of Porac National High School, Porac, Pampanga.

The innovation aims to help learners to become aware of the school rules and regulations
together with the sanctions of committing such. This is to be done in order to assure that all
students and parents will be informed to avoid or even lessen the number of committed
violations.

Background and Rationale

Some of the reasons consolidated from the conduct of interviews of the Guidance Designate to
learners and teachers as to why some students misbehave are as follows: (1) learners are
products of broken families; (2) they are victims of abuse; (3) they are often neglected in the
society; (4) they are victims of bullying; (4) they always feel anxious or upset; (6) there are no
planned interventions that will help each student to overcome life’s challenges.

The school, both teaching and non-teaching personnel, is playing a vital role in developing
students in all aspects of their lives. Educators as second parents of the students should accept
the responsibility of ensuring that the school is conducive for their education and give
consideration in their interest as we aim to transform lives. Through the orientation on the first
days of the school year students will be able to know and understand fully the rules and
regulations of the school in order to lessen the number of such cases. Furthermore, this project
will provide interventions so as to help learners avoid committing violation through the help of
teachers’ constant reminders and counseling.

This school year 2019-2020, Porac National High School is utilizing “Project ALAM” to help
learners be aware of the school rules and regulations and be able to apply positive attitude as a
weapon of fighting against violation.

This innovation will be one of the services in the Guidance Office which can be shared for
benchmarking purposes. Moreover, this innovation will help Porac National High School in
promoting Positive, Safe and Motivating Environment.
